Love Better Batter!
Love this flour! I use it as a substitute for regular flour in baking and cooking recipes, and it works great. I don’t use gluten free recipes, and I have great success in using this to make soups, waffles, and muffins. My only word of advice is to make sure you follow the instructions on the bag and weigh it. The only downside is the price, but you get what you pay for!

Can't tell it's gluten free!
My husband is gluten sensitive and has been diagnosed for about 15 years. Gluten free has come along a long way in that time. Since he is gluten free, most of my cooking is done that way so he can be included in all that we eat. We had given up a lot of different foods during that time since either it wasn't made in a gluten free variety or it tasted horrible. One thing I had a really hard time with was flour. It was so complicated to make a flour because you would have to buy a variety of flour and you would need xanthum gum. The different kinds of flours were not also typically available at the supermarket that I shopped at and I would have to go to a specialty store to get what I needed. That also created a large expense for me and my family. So as a result, I didn't often use flour that often. As time went on, I found some flour that was acceptable, but many of them had an aftertaste and could also be identified by others as tasting different. Enter Better Batter. This was a flour I found out about from a blog I had been reading. I researched it and found it was available on Amazon. The price turned me off somewhat, but I decided to go for it. I was SO glad that I did. I will never question it or hesitate to buy it ever! This is THE BEST TASTING FLOUR I have had. I use it for everything now. I made the chocolate chip cookie recipe on the box and they were the most delicious cookies I have ever had. No one had any idea they were gluten free. I also use it for beef stew when the beef needs a flour coat first before searing. I tried it with Christmas cookies this year since my husband loves those peanut butter blossom cookies. I made a large batch of them and they disappeared quicker than quick. They were so tasty and like the chocolate chip cookies, no one noticed any difference. Even my father, who can spot gluten free from a mile away had no idea. This flour is the BEST!

Best tasting gluten free bread flour
This is one of best gluten free bread flours available next to King Arthur. Your bread will come out like regular gluten free bread. Soft texture, yummy taste. Even the house smells wonderful! This is not an easy feat! Better Batter is a staple for me now as a gluten free foodie.

Great but spendy…
I have been an avid gluten free baker for about 15 years. I have always made my own flour mix and I have high standards for Gluten free items. I really like this blend and it may be the best GF flour blend out there but it’s just so crazy expensive! It has very little grit which can be an issue due to the rice flour not being milled fine enough. For the money, I will mostly continue to mix my own blend and splurge on this once in awhile. If you are not into the complexities of baking and just want something easy and safe, this is the best quality that I’ve found. The next runner up for me is the King Arthur GF blend. Less expensive, a little more grit.

Best GF flour, but WEIGH don’t measure!
This is by far my favorite gluten-free flour. I get fantastic results every time, from homemade pasta, to pie crusts to cakes & cookies, and every other cooking need. People complaining about consistency, etc. makes me wonder how you are measuring. Gluten-free flours should be weighed, not scooped and packed into a measuring cup like regular flour. It gets too dense that way. Trust me - use a digital scale, put a bowl on it & zero out the weight, using metric measurements (grams). Add flour, using 125 grams to equal 1 cup. Using the 125 g./cup formula has never steered me wrong, has never ruined a recipe. For those complaining of cost, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for alternatives, I do like Cup 4 Cup & King Arthur brands, but Better Batter is my favorite. No matter which gluten-free AP flour you use, the secret to success is to weigh the flour. Try it!

It out-performs any others I have tried, so far!
This has become my favorite GF flour. It is the closest to regular flour that I have used, so far, and most people can't even tell I am using GF flour in my recipes.

Better Batter Gluten Free Flour Review
In December of 2011, I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and was told to stop eating gluten altogether. I did so. After much research I realized I was in a world of trouble. Trying to cook for my family without using gluten, and basically having no idea what "gluten" was, I struggled. I spent so much time and money trying out different flours...OMG....what I would love to have my money back from all of the tryouts. In May of this year I found the Better Batter website. There seemed to be high reviews for the product. By May I was completely burned out with trying crappy flours that tasted like dirt, or worse. My Husband and kids were sick of eating food that didn't taste quite right. So I decided to give Better Batter Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour a try. IN MY OPINION, Better Batter has the closest resemblance to "normal" flour. I have been happy with the results of my meals. My Husband and kids have not complained about the taste or texture of the foods when I use Better Batter. And seriously - my kids are SO picky. If you are new to a gluten free diet, try Better Batter. It's a little costly as is everything "gluten free", but it's worth the money I spend to buy the 5 pound bags. To boot, Better Batter has a website with lots of recipes that are good. Not always simple recipes...but good. And I noticed the owner of Better Batter is really good about responding to questions and feedback on her website.

Bakes better than flours that contain mainly rice flour. Does not go sandy after a day or two. Best I have tried except for mixing my own recipe.

I was happy to be able to be able to buy Better Batter GF flour in Canada. The delivery was as promised. Yes, it is more expensive in Canada, but you cannot buy this product off the shelf in Canada. It's the best Cup for Cup GF flour I have ever used. It really is cup for cup.
