Had a problem that took out one node of 6 of this model. A hardware reset using the small hole at the bottom of the unit cured it, but the event caused me to buy another refurb unit for $50 as a spare, in case it happens again. Otherwise this is a simple, easy to use, and effective router and has caused no other problems. The app works extremely well and is well designed. Changed my negative review and 1 star rating to a positive review and a 5 star rating. One hiccup a year on something this complex is acceptable.

My brother gave me the TP-Link deco for my birthday, amazing, now I have 3 of them covering my house, is not a huge place but I was always suffering with the signal provided by my internet company. Now wherever I am and regardless the number of devices works amazing.What I love the most is that I can set and give priority to specific devices, there is also the fact it shows me whenever somebody is joining my network (that Is how I caught my visits sharing my password), it allows you to identify and tag every device at home is simply amazing.

Set up 1 time with the Deco app (Very easy) and has worked perfectly since Mar 7th 2023 Never a problem gets full signal for all 6 devices everywhere in entire home, basement, middle and upstairs You can even give more power to certain devices if needed 2.4 to 5g very all runs great firestick up and middle work perfect and even my nuckbox 8 small wireless computer gets 90 to 100% download and upload speed even with vpn on. I am amazed that just 1 deco device is able to do this. 11 months and I have played with it a little bit just for the features, but I haven't had touch it at all in 10 months. I just don't think about anymore. It works

TP link was super easy to set up and appears to cover the whole house 4000 sq feet. No more switching over to extenders.

This is the second router from this company that I've bought for two different homes. Both run off the same app. So easy. Worth every penny.

My old laptop could not connect to the wifi 6. Sound this wifi 5 signal and smooth sail again. If your upgrading to a mesh wifi, make sure your devices can connect to it, otherwise this type of wifi emitter is good for all.

I admit, trying save a few bucks and I tried the refurbished m4. I have 3 of these in my home and love them. Decided to add a 4th in the guest bedroom as some outdoor wyze cams were having signal strength issues. The m4 arrived and looked perfect. BUT the unit would allow the deco app to add it to the wifi mesh but would drop out after 2 minutes...with the dreaded red light. Tried resetting and tried 3 times. Same. My wife waa easily able to get the refund. As soon as I realized it was a bad unit I threw it into the box and ordered a brand new s4. Deco units call work together and the m4 and s4 seem 100% identical, just the s4 is shorter.I wonder if amazon will try reselling my return. You see it powers up fine. They would not know it was bad unless tested on real mesh. Lesson learned
