Flies love it
We get cluster flies hibernating in our loft every autumn. Up until buying this I have sprayed the loft with regular fly-spray and then vacuum up afterwards, repeating a few times during the autumn. This device is very effective at doing its job. I turned the collection tray upside down and placed the thing over a plastic box (see picture). I intend on leaving it on for a couple of months. The zapping sound is quite loud, like a sudden click, but it works. The benefit over fly-spray is that all the flies die in one place.Quite a few flies end up burning, so there is a bit of a smell of that close to it, but that would be expected given that they are electrocuted. One of the tubes didn't seem to work, but all it needed was the tube twisting fully into its slot.I'm very pleased with it.

ASPECTEK - Fly and Insect Killer 20W UV light Attract to Zap Flying Insects Playing E
I purchased the ASPECTEK 20W Fly and Insect Killer to combat the persistent issue of flies and bugs in my home. The device is made with alloy steel and ABS, ensuring it is robust and easy to clean. The mesh screen is a thoughtful addition, providing safety by preventing accidental contact with the electrical grid.Installation was straightforward; it worked immediately once plugged in.The UV light effectively attracts a variety of flying insects, including flies and mosquitoes. While it doesn't catch every bug, it significantly reduces their presence indoors. The ASPECTEK 20W Fly and Insect Killer has been a game-changer in maintaining a comfortable, insect-free indoor space. Its ease of use, effective performance, and added safety features make it a worthwhile investment.

Works!
Amazing. Plugged it in and within about 3 minutes I heard a zap and seen a fly lying dead! Very effective

It gave up after 4 months.
It worked great & then it just stopped working after 4 months. I'm disabled & I'm on my own, so I couldn't get it back to the post office. I am doubtful about buying another one. I did change the fuse & plugged it in different plugs but I can't think of anything else to try. Perhaps it was just a faulty one as there are plenty of good reviews, but I'm very disappointed with it.

One flaw but it’s a daft one.
I kinda wanted to give this 4 stars but it wouldn’t be fair as my one single problem with it is it kills flies too loudly! It’s a flies equivalent to the electric chair! Come on, we’ve all seen the green mile, unless it goes in with a wet sponge on its head, it’s gonna go with a bang! And that, it does!! It makes my jump and I’ve been to Iraq and Afghanistan!!!Anyway, the actual product looks nice, exactly like the pictures, it’s two sided so needs standing up on something, no hooks for wall mounting. Has two neon strip lights....... I don’t know why I’m describing it, there’s a picture of it at the top. It’s what it looks like!!! I’ll move on.I went for the 20w as my neighbor is a rank sod and we get a ton of flies popping over the fence. We have them sticky strip things and they’re doing ok. But this unit is brilliant. Nothing survives and it gets way more than the sticky things. Out does them by 3-1 and we have 3 hanging up! We’ve put it on top of the fridge and it seems to get nearly all of the flies before they get to the front room.Like I said at the top, when a flow goes in, it doesn’t half go off, and it honestly makes me jump. Even tiny flies make the same noise. Once we go bigger than a blue bottle tho, it goes nuts. It got a wasp the other day and it went on for about 30 seconds. Little bit of smoke and a horrible smell. But that’s the nature of the beast. It’s being electrocuted... it’s not pretty!! But most flies it’s one very quick, loud and reassuring zap!I will say, I hate animal cruelty, I know they’re only flies but I hate seeing things suffer, I can tell you without a doubt, whatever flies into this won’t know anything about it. Even that wasp, he was well dead, he was still just a bit moist inside because of..... well.... nature I suppose. I’m not concerned that there’s any suffering going on as the unit is so well made.Best thing I’ve had from amazon in a long long time!!

Noisy
It does work, but seems to kill all the insects which are not pests.Flies and mosquitoes stay well clear away from it.The noise when it does catch something is far too loud and although it says for indoor use, it really needs to be outside somewhere.
