Replaced my wife’s truck shocks with these went right on easily.

My 2003 Ford Super Duty F350 Crew cab dually 4x4 hood is one heavy hood. The stock struts lasted 21 years and while they would still keep the hood open, in any moderate wind, it would slam shut, if my head or fingers or arms were in the way it would have done some SERIOUS damage. For the few $ these cost, totally worthwhile, Would NOT enjoy picking up my fingers off the floor with my other hand or a spoon!!!Now in a very high gust of wind, the hood stays put. Easy install, just gently pry the metal band clips out to release the old ones, and just push to install the new ones. Tug a few times to ensure they are properly planted on the pegs and wont fall off and you are done! Hopefully these will last another 20-21 years!!! You must be somewhat mechanical for this but not hard, think it through, and pry clips out easy for install. I went too fast on the first one and turned it cock-eyed so I salvaged one from the old strut and it worked fine

I have had these installed for about 6 months. Very strong and have not weakened or busted.

The price was better than a box store. It was delivered without package damage. BUT, the product was damaged INSIDE the dimple that clips on the ball. The actual ‘clip’ was broken inside. I had to take a clip off the old rod.
