works great but packaging was awful
I’m ordering this item for 3 years. I like the product and I never had issue with the package itself. this was the first time I received a damaged box. Amazon package was great ( no issue on Amazon).

Great filter for a great price!
I tried this product originally purchased at a local pet shop. My fishtank was cloudy so after reading suggestions I have it a try and so grateful I did. My fishtanks are crystal clear, no floating debris because this filter captures it all. After i read out, I went to Amazon for a better price and I found it. I cut mine and replace sponge in the filters and the difference in water clarity is night and day. I have tried other filter media but I feel this is the best of the best.

Easily cut to fit
I use these in addition to my aqueon 10. I cut a piece about the size of my finger and place it right before the water exits the spout. It picks up alot of fine, noticeable color difference in pad in 3 days. One pack will last me over 6 months.

Strongly recommend.
I put one in my back filter and replace it once a month, rinse it in aquarium water once or twice a week. Great for picking up the soil in dirted tanks after plants are moved. Takes a day or two to do the job so give it time.Change this filter instead of the more expensive filters (which now lasts for over a year instead of each month).

Perfect solution for most filters.
Works great... I am actually cutting in half and trimming for use in a Marineland Penguin 100 filter. Lasts quite some time, plus 2 dollars for 4 changes. My set up... Marineland Penguin 100 with foam insert at bottom left of pump inlet. Bioballs on top of inlet. Filter Media (cut to fit,) above both. Carbon bag on top of that. Flow rate and filtration is significantly better with this set up than using marineland filters, (also a lot cheaper and less maintenance.)

Does polish the water, doesn't fit great.
I don't know if the interior of the 206 pump is slightly differently shaped or if this pad just fits slightly loose to begin with. It does work, but takes quite a while - enough water gets past the filter that small particles avoid the filter for hours, or days. Some of it may be due to a newer tank (old bio load though, so no bacterial bloom) and very fine sand still coming up into the water - but it is hard to come up with a reason that a product manufactured by the same company that made the pump fits with a full 1/4" gap around the edges. ???Again, it works well - and I will probably keep one in continually because it does make a difference - but I don't get the undersized aspect. Perhaps it is to allow flow even if the media gets seriously clogged - but if you are going to be that inattentive, why buy a polishing pad?

Save your money, use quilt batting. See review for instructions.
These water polishing pads don't accomplish anything that a $5 roll of quilt batting doesn't do (well...except that the Fluval are pre-cut to size), and you can make about 30-50 filters/pads this size out of one roll of batting. The nature of this type of filter is that it traps fine particles, so they get clogged very easily. If you want to keep crystal clear water you would go through 1-2 of these pads per week. One roll of quilt batting has lasted me several months. To make the filter keep the batting folded so that it is four layers thick and just cut to the size of your filter basket. You could use as many or as few layers as you wanted. I have seen that others use the stuffing from pillows but I don't recommend that, the individual fibers are more likely to come apart and could travel through the pump and end up in your tank. You don't want your fish to eat this stuff. I ordered these just to see if I was missing out on any great benefits and nope, I'm going back to incredibly cheap quilt batting.

Excellent, used these to pimp my interpet C2 filter.
Used these as the fine foam filer to pimp my C2 interpet filter. They did an excellent job. Would buy again.

105 pad fits the 106
As I'm sure anyone reading this will know, these pads will also fit the new 106/206 range. They help strain out finer particulate matter within the filter, but I do find that to get the best out of them they need to be replaced frequently. This of course disturbs the filter canister and can add detrius back into the tank, negating the good they do - either change very frequently or very occasionally to get the best results in my opinion.

Keeping things well filtered
Another very good Fluval product. With the exception of the foam pads I always buy genuine Fluval media replacements and this is very good quality. I've been using them in my tank's Fluval 206 filter for the last three years and all of the inhabitants appear happy enough.

Great product if you Use a Fluval filter.
It's a great buy and product I change this filter in my Fluval 206 on a monthly basis and it keeps my tank clean and you can see it work within 4 hours my tank water is clear. Wish the supplier would add more pads in the box and make it a 4 month supply.

Polishing water pads.
Delivery date was 22nd to 24th March 2018, actually arrive on 21st, thst one hell of a service. The filter pads are what they are, water polishers for fluval 106,206 etc. Brilliant at removing micro particles from fish tanks, stopping hazy or cloudy water.
