Toro 120-7012 Trailing Shield

Seems too expensive for what is just a piece of plastic. I’m also worried about how it will hold up over time, but I do like that clippings don’t gather in the back of this redesigned version.

Everything works well and reasonable

The replacement of this was prompted after the original wore out through time. The shield does look cheap but has its purpose. I’m always a proponent of replacing accessories that came with the original mower. Good value for what it is.

Right part but too short. Kept falling off, I ended up tossing it.

Item worked perfectly. Installation was easy. Slight modification in the design from the one that originally came with the mower. This one is better because the grass does not pile up on the shield. When you back up the lawnmower, the shield flips under the housing and dumps the built up grass, then goes right back into position as you go forward.The old design worked the same way but was more curved and the grass build up did not usually clear when the shield flipped under the housing.

I liked that it was very easy to install. You only needed to remove two screws that are easily accessible, pop out the old shield and install the new one in reverse order.

I just installed this in about five seconds. Fit perfectly and works like it is suppose to.
