Great cooler
1. Setting:- Mother board: Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI/DVI-D/D-Sub UEFI Dual BIOS ATX Motherboard GA-Z87-DS3H- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (Stock 4.0 GHz, up to 4.40 GHz)- Memory: Corsair Vengeance Red 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHZ (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory2. InstallationSuper easy. You can even install it with hand but it is better to use a screw driver (+). The manual on the website says you need to put those four clip pins on the fans (to grab the metal rods) but it seems the current version of the product pre-installed those pins. Furthermore, you need only one CPU fan socket on your board (using a spliter cable) unlike its earlier version (which you needed two, one for each fan).3. Performance (temperature):- Ubuntu 14- idle: 28-34 degrees Celsius- medium load:38-50 degrees Celsius- full load (used y-cruncher) @4 GHz on all cores: 60-74 degrees Celsius4. Noise: Fan speed won't go up at medium load. It became noticeably noisy when the temperature goes beyond 68-70 degrees Celsius (at full load). However, I personally felt it was acceptable. Too bad I have no decibel meter so I cannot tell you how loud it is in numbers.5. Memory clearance: Unfortunately, the cooler cannot clear for full 4 sticks for over-the-standard height memories (e.g. Corsair Vengeance I used) on LGA 1150. It was already known that on LGA 1155, it is not possible but I could not find information how it is on 1150. Based on the specification and the pictures I saw on the web, I had an impression that it might fit just right (of course very tightly -- maybe tangentially touching). However, it turns out the fan bolts (four pin bolts to snap the metal rods) overlaps with the memory area about 1.5 mm. Thus, no, if your memory is over-the-standard height on LGA 115x, it won't fit. I guess the standard height memory sticks may fit. Note that the cooler is reported to have perfect clearance on LGA 2011 (and probably 2011-v3), although I guess those who build 2011-v3 machines may prefer liquid coolers. I too had used a liquid cooler for my old machine with i7-3930K.6. Verdict: A great cooler. Maybe not the best option if you want to overclock on i7-4790k. But it should be fine with a mild overclock on i5-4670k, given this cooler's successful performance at 4 GHz.

Little brother is a beast!
I started by saying that I was trying to purchase a liquid cooler Corsair H55, Cooler master seidon 120 or this one. I did not want to have the big Noctua NHD14 or Phanteks PHTC14. At the end I found phanteks little brother and decided to give it a chance. I do not regret. Previously I was using an NZXT Respire T-20 for my i7 2600k. So here is what I think about this cooler:PROS* Not that big, it has dual tower heatsink but it fits inside my Cooler Master HAF 912 case.* Does not block any Ram slot or PCI E slot. Excellent clearance on a Gigabyte Z77x mobo.* Dead silent under load, I can hear it only if I approach to it very close, and all I hear is a soft humming noise.* Excellent build cooler, the fans are premium quality.* It includes two 120mm PWM Phanteks premium fans.* The easiest installation I have never seen. It took me 20 minutes from opening the box to have it installed.* Cools similar or even better than Corsair H55 or cooler master seidon water coolers!* The highest temp I've seen is 59C under full load with ambient temperature of 35C with i7 2600k overclocked @ 4.0ghz at full gaming load.* At stock settings the i7 2600k has never reach beyond 53C at full gaming load.* PATS thermal solution applied to the aluminium fins does a really good job isolating the GPU heat. With the NZXT respire T-20 I was getting 68C i7 2600k at stock and 78C overclocked @ 4.0ghz at full gaming load.* Doesn't break the bank. Premium performance for the price.CONS:* None.I made my decision based on the fact that I did not want to have liquid running inside my PC. I have read horrible things that happened for a small leak, and the liquid might fall directly to my EVGA GTX 780 card. The cooler handles moderate overclocking, for gaming, 4.0ghz for me it's fair enough depending on the game.In other words it has all the technology included in the PHTC14PE but in a small size.Highly recommended for gaming and moderate overclocking!

Feel's like it can do the job and it does!
Got tired of the maintenance of a custom water loop but I wanted to make sure I got a good air cooler. Been reading about this brand of air cooler (mainly the 140 mm model) and how good/great they are son I took the plunge.Once I received this cooler I must say the most difficult part of the installation was removing the custom water loop I had installed. Installation went well and smooth. Wont way it was quick because I took advantage that I had my rig disassembled to do a yearly cleaning. But when it came time to install and close the rig up, it was easy and intuitive. As far as performance is concerned I have my CPU moderately OC'ed. Just too lazy to see how far I can get but I will say this. I did reach 4.2 Ghz (on a 3750K) with no sweat. While gaming my highest temp is in the mid-upper 50 C's at most.If I need to mention something negative, it would be the fans. They are a bit loud but then again, that's at 100% which I do find I have no need to reach on my rig. When I remember I bring down the fan speed to the 30-40% range and it is whisper quiet. Temp's may increase a degree or two at most. Summer is around the corner so I'll really test it out here in the tropics. If I needed to get it even quieter at 100% speed, then it would be a no-brainer to search out a quiet and capable fan and replace the stock fans.

Works beautifully and silently, rock solid for the price.
I bought this fan for a rig using a 6850k. This cooler is dead silent; I can barely hear it with the side panel open, and even with moderate overclocking the absolute highest temp I saw was 46C, whether it's gaming or devoting full computing power to Folding@home or running benchmarks, and idle temps for basic tasks are rarely above 18C. My average temperature is like 39C under heavy load. I'm pretty impressed. It's worth mentioning that when I opened the box I noticed it had several bags of parts and they weren't clearly labeled, which might be intimidating for novice builders. Most of those parts are separate install kits for different CPU sockets, and you won't use most of them. I can't attest to the other sockets, but at least for the LGA-2011 socket, installation was quick and easy, and the mounts for other sockets also look pretty well-designed. Just pay attention to the arrows when clipping the fans back onto the radiator to keep the airflow in the correct direction, and make sure you have the fans resting on the silicone pads and not the metal radiator itself to prevent noise and optimize airflow.I'm not doing anything particularly extreme with this rig, just high-end gaming and VM testing mostly, so I didn't see the need to jump for a higher-cost cooler. Even so, this one far exceeds my expectations. It runs silently at all loads I tested it, and keeps my CPU nice and frosty. And for what it's worth, it doesn't look half bad if you have a case window.

Beautiful, silent, and cold.
Put this in my new budget gaming rig, even though it was overkill for what I need. Running an i3-6100 and doing light to moderate gaming. Man this thing keeps the cpu cool. So far, the highest temps the cpu has seen with this beast is 34 C. Idles around 28 C (granted, ambient is fairly low: 22 C).And it's sexy. Paired this with one of Biostar's new "racing" motherboards that incorporates LED lighting (BIOSTAR RACING B150GT5). Using Biostar's software, you can control the cpu fan speed and how the LED lighting works. I have the lights set to follow the audio from the pc. So when playing any sound, the LED lights follow the beat of the sound. Quite awesome when playing World of Tanks. Looks especially good bouncing off the white fans of this cpu cooler. The only downside is the size. MAKE SURE YOUR CASE CAN FIT THIS COOLER. My case is the Phanteks Eclipse Series PH-EC416P_WT. Awesome case that is a pretty good size mid tower. I had just a couple mm of clearance between this cooler and the side panel. I am running the cooler in a front to back configuration on an ATX motherboard, so RAM clearance wasn't an issue. If you're running it in a bottom to top configuration or on a mATX or ITX motherboard, that might be an issue.,
