These are an absolute game changer. No more crooked rails. Why did it take Festool so long to sort this? Recommended.

You can’t go wrong with festool. Although these look relatively the same as the original joining bar you can tell the difference when using the new version. I can’t fault them.

I had delayed buying these improved Festool track connectors as the price was eye-watering. So I was glad to eventually buy two sets with a substantial discount. Yes, they are better than the old Festool parts but still not as good as the Mafell locking system. Two tips: ensure the tapered screw is fully backed out before trying to fit the expanding connector in the track. Add a drop of Loctite 222 (soft) to lightly retain the grub screws so they don’t vibrate loose or fall out when not clamped.

they only self algin half the time , and if you move the fence around a lot they are difficult to unscrew. still better than the old bars but manage your expectations

Wie fast allem von Festool, bleiben keine Wünsche unerfüllt: Sie passen perfekt und Verbinden zwei Führungsschienen zuverlässig. Nachher lassen sie sich leicht entfernen. Ausgezeichnetes Zubehör. Lediglich die Verpackung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Der Karton war viel zu groß, die Schienen machten höchstens 2% des Volumens aus. Der Rest Chips Schaumstoff (Umweltunfreundlicher Sondermüll); wer keine Zeitung liest, sollte sie zum Verpacken nutzen. Sonst hochpreisig aber auch entsprechen gut.

This should go without saying, but all things surrounding a track saw are expensive. They are equipment used to be able to make extremely accurate cuts incredibly quicly. If you have a straight-edge, a circular saw, and some clamps, you do not need a track saw. However, anyone that uses a track saw will tell you, they're never going back to setting up a straight-edge and running the shoe of the saw against it. It is painfully time consuming. That being said, these guide rail connectors are expensive, but they work as intended. I use these to join my Makita tracks. The setup time is very quick, and the tracks are always joined together so that they make one long track that is straight as an arrow. If I ever need to do something that requires me to join my third track, I will buy another set of these. Well done Festool.
