Engineering Mechanics: Statics, Student Value Edition

I bought a brand new one in the loose leaf version. I thought it said it came with an access code, but that was only for the hardcover edition I guess.However, since I need the code I'm gonna have to shell out another 70-ish dollars. Be sure to read the fine print of the version you're considering buying, and contact the instructor if you can.The loose leaf is good quality, so if you don't need an access code this would be a better deal than a hardcover edition. Just keep it in a good quality binder. A 1.5 inch would work, or bigger if you're keeping notes in it.After buying the looseleaf and a separate code, I will not be saving much money. May as well have gotten the hardcover.***EDIT***I just bought a binder for it and realized that it only has two holes punched into it. They're off-center, so you have to buy a 3 ring binder. Looks like this Statics book didn't take into account the torque a larger moment arm will place on an off-center punch text, how ironic. I'm changing it to 2 stars for this. They could easily have reinforced their pages like 5-Star does, or just used a 3 hole punch on bigger pages. It's needlessly infuriating. I've already damaged a hole and I've had it for a day. Do not recommend.

I really appreciate this book. I would say for the most part it is to the point and there isn’t too much verbal garbage getting in the way of the major concepts. And do you like examples and practice problems? Oh my word, there are so many! Also, I love the size of the hardback. My classmates have the loose leaf of this same book, it only has two holes. I couldn’t live with just two holes in a book I might need to reference for years.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Purchased the NEW book, book came in the mail with not only no access card as advertised, but USED stickers all over it. DO NOT BUY!

The book came in a good condition. It included a wide arrange of examples from simple concept problems to complex problems that test your understanding of the material. Don't expect the book to come with the code since it is a rental. Some of the problems have answers in the back of the book which is good to check your answers.

The exercises are very well explained and the book follows a logical order in the chapters explained. The exercises and samples in metric values are very helpful for European students and professors.

It’s a great book. I was not expecting mine to only have two punched holes. So when it sits upwards in my binder, it’s bottom heavy. This leads to some of the pages leaning forward and ripping out. The paper is also super thin, so be careful with it.

No access code came with the book as advertised. When contacted the seller indicated it's out of their control.
