Excellent story of two strong people from two different words all together, torn apart many times due to destiny but culminate as one it's like the sky meets the earth kinda story..... loved it

I gave this book 5 stars..and you will too.Was such an interesting book about the railroads going built across the US.Its hard to put the book down, and coming to the ending, you want the story to go on.A fathers love for his daughter at birthday and her mother dieing..Her father takes her everywhere across country building R.R. she knows the business better than her 2 step brothersShe meets the half Indian blood scoutAnd falls in love with him at 12 yrs old..And carrys her feelings in her heart..he also has fallen in love with her and its years later, they have fought to keep it to oneself, after years later...they find each other in love...threw hardships, on the pairie n in the mtn. And threw the family.She marrys a man who only wants herMoney and he is mean to her.They once again find each first love, and it is for you to read and fall in love with how the story ends.,.

This is a great novel. The best I have read in a while. I enjoyed her writing style. Intelligently written.

Wow! Such a wild ride. This book takes you through every emotion possible. I love the very strong characters in this book. You can totally relate to someone that represents them. Some of them you absolutely adore and others you despise. I don’t like how the Indians were treated, however, sadly it is based on the truth. Love this author!

Good read

This is indeed truly a book of intrigue, extreme sadness, danger, power and all that goes with it.... But more than that it shows how we should never hold back from trusting and loving when we find the right person our heart tells us is right. I was so moved by this maybe because my husband and I were separated for eight years because of other people melding, we finally found each other and have been married for 38 love filled years...many tragedies and heartaches and illness, but through it all our love has endured! Only one critisem ... The F word was not necessary, every other sexual mention was respectfully done... You didn't need to use that word, thankfully it was only once and at the near end of the book. If there had been more before it I would have stopped reading no matter how good the book was written..... Other than that, I really enjoyed and could relate to the characters. Thank you.
