NICE TOOL FOR A NICE PRICE!
I selected these over others because I didn't want to spend alot (only have one tree), but wanted good quality, nevertheless. I know Fiskars to be a very reputable brand in cutting tools, as I have used their household scissors for years. The price is comparable with lesser known companies' products, available locally, so I think this is the better choice. One feature I really like is that to extend the handles, all you have to do is give a little clockwise twist, pull them towards you, then a counterclockwise twist to lock them in place, which is super efficient, requiring only one hand for each handle. Most others I've seen require you to engage some type of lever higher up on each of the handles, in order to be able to extend them, then re-lock the lever afterwards, cumbersome, and requiring both hands. They have soft foam handles, and include a plastic, protective cover for the blade head. I haven't used them yet, but am sure they'll be just fine for any 1.5 or <, branches, as advertised.

Quality workhorse tool that goes and goes and goes and goes....
I have a real mess on my hands in that I recently aquired a home with slightly over two acres with a wide variety of trees and shrubs that was neglected and allowed to grow wild for approximately 10 years. 100 foot long runs of Catbriars that laughed at every herbicide I threw at it, a privet invasion that was killing off the all my fruit bearing trees and growths that mutated over time from weeds and wild plants into a maneating jungle. I figured I'd destroy my first set of Loppers before I finished my first phase cleanup so I went for budget expense and prayed they made it to the finish line I proceeded to put a couple years worth of daily hard core use on these in the month that I have owned them on thumb sized and better limbs, vines and branches both live and dead against recommendations and basically ignoring the suggested cut size stretching the limit of it's maximum cut way more than once. I've dug them in the dirt cutting, I've flexed the handles 10 degrees at least cutting branches well over spec and made no effort at all to be nice to them as I used them. In short I not only tried to break them I tried really really hard to do it and failed miserably. Durable, hold their edge well, light but sturdy, do the job and then some on a wide variety of trees, shrubs and ornamentals and makes a nice, precise cut. So far all I've done is oil them after use and touch up it's edge a couple of times and they work as well today as they did the day I got them. What I expected to get limited use and life from initially I now expect to outlive me. Simply a wonderful tool that I can't recommend highly enough.

Works great and easy to use.
These shears are easy to use and cut branches cleanly. The extendable handles work well. I cut tree branches from 1-1 1/2 inch all day long and no bent blades or problems.

My workhorse land management tool
These bypass loppers with extendible handles are perfect. They are lightweight enough that my arms dont get fatigued after a 6 hour work day, and yet strong enough I've never worried about any risk of them breaking. Through the course of my work I adjust them long, short, long, short, long, short constantly - long to get into thickets of thorny plants like japanese barberry and multiflora rose, and short to work in close range. The quick rotation to release the handles to slide them in and out, then rotation back to lock them in is brilliant. Only sometimes they slide just a little but trust me I put them to the serious test and they hold where I need them 95% of the time. For such a low cost, these really impress me. A flat file keeps the blades sharp.
