Great machine
Even though this 14ltr unit is the smallest in the brand it is still pretty big internally. Not having a tap to empty is a pain but not having a tap also means not having any future leaks so its a fair trade off.Easy to use, accurate, very clean well made machine.A fifteen hour cook with water I preheated used only 1kw of electricity. Cost me 14pence. The lid isn't insulated so i was wondering about the efficiency. A smart plug fitted gave me the answer so it’s pretty economical. My only gripe is no physical buttons.Having a smart plug i can turn the unit off from anywhere. ie at work. But i cannot turn it on from anywhere as you have to press the touch screen. It would be great if i could set it to preheat before i left work if i was doing an unplanned cook. Most of the time i plan what I’m cooking so it’s not a problem.Overall i am really happy with this unit. I was considering an immersion sousvide such as the Anover or Joule but decided to start out with this all in one. It roughly works out at a similar price point once you would have to buy the accessories and this is much better insulated therefore cheaper to run and tidier to store

Solid home water bath
This is a well built, substantial water bath. 14 litres to me is the perfect size, I can cook some beef ribs etc. enough for 5-6 people in this easily. I've owned the clip on types before, and was never that enamoured. The fact that most turn off after a certain time drove me nuts, not this! It'll happily keep the water at the set temperature until I say otherwise. The temp stability does tend to overshoot on mine between 0.3-0.5 degrees, but that's easy to compensate for. This is used often (I've owned it for 7 months now), and can see it lasting well into the future. Loses a star due to one being DOA, but to be fair the company were great at just sending out another - and the fact that the temp can overshoot by up to 0.5 of a degree. Very minor things, and by far the best home grade water bath I've used and seen.
