Q: Are your almonds treated with PPO?

It's NOT the law that they HAVE to use cancer causing chemicals. Almonds grown in California's 400-mile-long Central Valley MUST be "pasteurized" - that is, either steam treated or gassed with the toxic fumigant propylene oxide (PPO) before sale to U.S. consumers. STEAM is healthy: PPO causes cancer. Why does our govt. even let PPO's be used?

Q: is this ready to eat?

Yes, you can cook with them or just eat them out of the bag. They are really good for baking--I use them in an oatmeal almond bread I make--but I also like them on my oatmeal or as a yogurt topping.

Q: are these processed in a facility that also processes wheat?

No, just peanuts and other tree nuts.

Q: how many cups of almonds in a two pound bag?

Sorry, no idea. They are fantastic. No, I don’t work for company, just buy every month for my granola.
