Aquarium USB Air Pump Ultra Quiet Nano Air Pump for Fish Tank with Hanging Buckle (Green)

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: DEC/2022; still going strong! I have had this little pump for over a month. It has been working day and night from the time I got it. It has not failed. It has not sputtered. It just continues to go. For the price point I don't expect it to last forever, but I am pleased that it seems to be working flawlessly thus far. The only issue I have had has been a couple of occasions where the airline tubing has slipped off of the check valve because the stems on the valve are smooth. It does not have a retaining ridge. But that is not a fault of the pump rather an issue with me not seating the airline tubing properly. I am very pleased with this item and would definitely buy it again. Just be aware that it does not come with a charger or USB adapter for the wall. You have to supply your own. The nice thing is and the reason that I bought it, is it's quiet. Additionally, and most importantly, when the power goes out, I have used a cell phone charging battery pack for the USB connection and still have air and water flow for my fish. Because of the usability during power outages, I find this an indispensable item for my aquarium.

Going strong well over a year and half later! Super quiet which is great because i'm the kind of person the sound of the refrigerator bothers me. Most of the time, i only hear the bubbles from the water. Have it running two sponge filters in a ten gallon betta tank. Thought it died this morning, was getting ready to order a new one, swapped the power block out instead and whalla! it came right back on! granted, i was using the power block for my like 7 yr old android so figured the power block was the issue. I know some people have had issues with it dying in like just a few weeks, but for the price it's honestly worth the risk to me if you want something small and quiet. definitely a good buy for anyone that is super sensitive to sounds, i tried like four other "silent" ones before this and those all sounded like they were going to rattle my walls down. Will admit, it's loud for like the first 8hrs and then it got quiet.

This is my 2nd of these and they only last 6 months to a year before it stops working suddenly. I've taken the first one apart to see if there was something I could fix but I could not find any obstruction or damage, it just stops working. But for the price, it seems to be the only silent (or damn near silent) pump I could find. Pumps that are 4x the price also are 4x the volume. So I guess I'll just keep buying one of these every year!?

This aquarium pump is small, quiet and powerful. My last pump that lasted a few years was quiet, small, but not very powerful. This pump is as powerful as pumps that are 4-8 times in size, but are much noisier. I have this pump in an aquarium that is in my bedroom. I can not stand pumps that growl, hum, buzz, etc. I literally do not hear this pump. The only thing I hear is the bubbles. I was actually shocked as to how poweful this little pump is considering its size and since it is a usb device. This pump is around 2 1/2" long by 3/4" wide. I have been running it for about a month. Time will tell as to how long it will last. Not sure if I can maintain it for maintainance - replacing the diaphragm etc. Best aquarim pump I have ever purchased.

I have had 3 of these. I bought the first one to try out. It is very quiet and produces good bubbles. I was very happy with it so I ordered a second one for my other tank. After about a month the first one quit working. I had it plugged into a cheep generic usb power block. On of those you get for free with some company logo on the side of it. Neither the pump or the power block worked so I assumed the block went bad and burned up the pump in the process. So I ordered a 3rd one to replace the first. The second one was plugged into a good quality power block but after about a month, it quit working too. This time the power block still works fine. Then after running my 3rd pump for about a month it stops working. It was also plugged into a quality power block. One that is a different brand than the other good quality power block. Once again the power block is fine and the pump no longer works.So, I have had 3 of these and all have stopped working within 4 to 6 weeks. I will not be buying a 4th.

I was surprised this works as well as it does considering it is so low cost! It generates decent air flow and can be plugged into any USB port.

Pumps out plenty of air for my air stone/sponge filter in a 10 gallon aquarium. Love the tiny size and it is fairly quiet!

Bought 2 of these and 1 of another brand. They are all basically the same. For the most part, they work well when they are new, but they have little consistency as the quality just isn't there. They fail between weeks to months. Some just get loud, others will seize. You can extend the life if you are willing to take it apart and lubricate it a bit, but I got tired of dealing with it and didn't want to risk it seizing without my noticing since it is part of my filtration.The Tetra whisper 10gal is similar in power and cost (if not cheaper), slightly louder, but I'm sure it'll last at least and I don't have to deal with it. Put a towel or something else soft under it is comparable in noise. The larger rated size whispers are in deed more powerful, but also noticeably louder so bigger is not better.Note that they both will sound quieter with the tubing attached than without so make sure to attach that before you judge the noise level.Overall, buy any of these usb powered ones you want and you may get lucky, but it won't last more than a year (none of mine made it that long and that's even with me extending their life taking them apart).
