Worked great
1986 K10 pickup, frame was cracked by the stock steering box over the years. Had a shop weld this thing in place, and it should hold up well - nice and sturdy!

Fit a 78 GMC 1500 2 wheel drive inside of the frame
Fit well on my 78 GMC 1500. I did have to trim some of the top and bottom, but I was able to get it inside of the frame rather than the outside. This provides significantly more support and don't have to worry about the steering box not aligning, additionally it will prevent future cracks. The bolt holes were inconsistent and had to re-drill two of them since they were too small for my steering box bolts. Overall good product and will support the steering box. Pics I've attached are before welding.

Great product
Really like that someone makes these support braces! Had to cut off one of the ears since the bumper support bolts onto the frame. You can see it in the pictures. I also had to drill a hole for where the brake lines are bolted on the inside of the frame. I recommend that you clamp the center of the bracket all the way to the frame and then weld it. If not your steering box will not fit right.

Modified to fit inside frame
I have an 86 Chevy plow truck and the frame broke at the steering box. It now has two of these brackets modified to sit inside and outside on the frame.
