Love the cover and love the ending
First, I want to give compliments to the cover designer whose artwork in its simplicity and effectiveness thrilled me! I am sorry that there is no mention of the cover designer in the book because they deserve that.As for the story itself, I find it very satisfying although it played with me when at moments it fully grabbed my attention and forced me to speed up my reading just to slow it down a few pages later when it tamed my curiosity and expectations. I am pleased with the ending because it is not a typical romance ending and therefore may not be according to everyone’s taste, but it is very logical and realistic, and I congratulate the author on that.Bernard Jan

So Subtle And So Sweet
Not gonna lie this book was a hard start but after realizing the intensity of the love interest I could not put it down. From someone who felt both the relationship struggles being from a small town to understanding the difficulties when it comes to deciding your future career and how you’d like to see your life play out.Definitely worth the purchase and the read.Very bittersweet and hope to see more of this story or even more work from the author.

A PHENOMENAL BOOK, EASY READ!
I thoroughly enjoyed this thought provoking, very well written book. It is written in the first person by the main character, Max, a college student who openly and honestly takes the reader along while he explores and experiences his relationships, friendships and other. The story is real, with elements of love, heartbreak, compassion, understanding, respect, and true friendships. This book touches on a topic often avoided presenting it beautifully and in a way in which the emotions experienced by the characters are relatable and universal; simply put, human. All the characters are well developed- I felt their joy, their pain and understood their challenges. I was especially impressed by Max’s strength of character and the thoughtful way he continued to explore, learn, and grow throughout his journey. For me, the two most important messages from this book are:One, the importance and value of having the love, acceptance and support of your family and friends given any challenge. And two, love is love. People are people. I hope that Grant D. Muller’s book helps more people to understand and accept this, whether for themselves, or others. As with most every aspect of life, there is not one right way, not one right answer, there is not one “normal”. I hope this book helps people to be more open minded, accepting, kinder and more tolerant. Love is love, whether it’s between two women, two men, a woman and a man, or other. Any, and all healthy, respectful, loving relationships are wonderful. People are people.I loved this book. Should be required reading. Highly recommend!

Great book, but a bit infuriating.
Giving five stars because I like to support new authors. Writing style was good and I enjoyed the story for the most part but the ending felt super rushed and was mildly infuriating after dedicating so much to this quiet little love story.I didn't really like the way the MC was (spoilers ahead) just so chill about the love interest cheating at the end. Also didn't like the fact that the breakup was like 2 pages before the end of the book so we you really don't get a chance to gauge his reaction to everything. It wasnt a particularly long book so I feel like there could have been a bit more time fleshing out the ending to feel less abrupt. All in all it was good book right up until the end. I'd probably check out the author's next release because I like his writing style, but the lack of an HEA at the end was a bummer so, fingers crossed that that isn't the case next time.

I won't lie to you the overall events in the book were a tiny bit boring but I love the message behind this book and the characters are awesome! It took me like 10-20 pages to really get into it but it was still good!

Absolutely Incredible!
This book is extraordinary, and I highly highly recommend it to people of all backgrounds. It is extremely well written and interesting, constantly leaving you wanting more and making it difficult to put down. Not only that, the message of the book is an immensely important one - and it helped to open my eyes to a whole new perspective that I otherwise would not have been able to understand. This book is valuable to all individuals, as its thought provoking content and relatable nature will surely help instill increased empathy and understanding within its readers. I believe a good book is one that makes you think, exposes you to new perspectives, and keeps you constantly engaged - and this book does exactly that. Do not hesitate to buy your copy!!

WOW!
I read this book in one day, and then my dad read it the next, and my mom the following day after that. It is THAT good and THAT accessible for people of all age ranges and life experiences. While it is wildly entertaining and funny- with genuinely witty character interactions and honest college-life humor, it is so much more than a fun, quick read. Each character is explored with nuance and patience, even, and especially, the one(s) who's own life struggles negatively impact the protagonist, Max. There is so much love coursing through this whole novel, and its obvious integrity engages a reader into feeling all of the joy, heartache, friendship, and romance, right along with the characters.

A splash of real life
From the rooftops is a relatable, realistic story of loving someone who can’t love themselves. I enjoyed this page turner and I’m surprised why this book isn’t more popular. There isn’t any porn on here like most contemporary romance, which is refreshing. But a certain element of physical love would have let us connect with the romance better. If we’re being realistic, when is there ever a gay romance without sex ?
