A charming light-hearted text.I loved every sentence and phrase. Full of gorgeous descriptive writing with a comedic twist here and there. Lots of references from other published authors on the subject of 'Swallows'.This would make a delightful gift - I've already acquired more copies to give my friends.ENJOY!

I have quite a number of Stephen Moss books. His light touch and incredibly charming style of writing draws you in. Although I’m only writing this review for this book, my comments hold true for all of his “Bird Biographies”. He combines natural history with a storyteller style, and I find his work endlessly appealing!

An excellent book on the swallow about its lore, history and its biology.
