Actually cleans your scalp
My go to shampoo right now. When using it actually feels like it’s cleaning my hair. Worth the money.

Great for scalp
Worked really well on my scalp's flakiness and build-up. Very small amount for the price, like a sample size. Would use again.

Left my hair dry and rough
I do not care for this scrub and shampoo combination. It was great for my scalp but left my hair feeling dry and rough. It takes more than one shampoo with a quality shampoo to get rid of the roughness. I do not recommend this combination.

Gives your hair a VERY deep cleaning!
I have combination hair that is oily at the roots and dry at the ends. Clarifying shampoos and similar products work great for removing scalp build up but can wreak havoc on my drier ends. I was worried that this product, being a scrub, might be even worse.I love the consistency! It's like a body or face scrub but for your hair. It is gritty but not overly abrasive. Even though it says that it's safe for color treated hair, I still think it may strip away the color. My hair isn't currently colored so I can't say with certainty but it does have some grit to it.The shampoo applies nicely and feels slightly cooling on my scalp. The first time I tried it, I applied it all over my hair. It left my hair feeling SQUEAKY clean yet difficult to manage, even after using conditioner. The next time I tried it, I only applied the scrub to my scalp and used my regular shampoo from mid hair shaft down to the ends. That worked MUCH better! I follow up with a good conditioner. I would not recommend this for anyone with super dry hair. I let my sister try the scrub and it DID NOT work for her!!! She has very dry hair and she couldn't even get a brush through it afterwards!!!!!!!!!!The fragrance is quite pleasant - citrusy, fresh, invigorating, and maybe a little floral. It doesn't linger on your hair long after drying.Since the scrub can be a bit drying, I only use it once per week for optimal results. My hair gets stripped of all the build up, oil, etc and my other products seem to work better afterwards.

hair smells good
When I observed the quality and the ultimate outcome of applying this on my hair, I was pleasantly impressed. My hair is a combination of greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. Clarifying shampoos and similar products are fantastic for clearing scalp buildup, but they cause be damaging to my dry ends. I was concerned that, as a scrub, this product would be much worse. I like how consistent it is! It's similar to a body or face scrub, except it's for your hair. It's grainy yet not too harsh. Even though it claims to be safe for color-treated hair, I believe it may remove the color. My hair isn't dyed right now, so I can't say for sure, but it does have some grit to it.

Smells divine
Biolage is one of my all time favorite brands for shampoo and conditioner. I always have the Biolage Hydrasource detangling solution and the biolage clean reset clarifying shampoo on hand and in rotation, usually purchasing them in liter sizes. There signature scent is to die for! Though it is very heavily scented so if that’s not your thing then you will not like this! I can still smell it on my hair on the second day after washing!I love a good scalp scrub and/or clarifying shampoo, so I was excited to give this one a try! Plus it has there signature scent, always a huge plus for me!I will admit right off the bat I dislike the squeeze tube container that it comes in. Sure, it looks nice, but it’s nearly impossible to get it to stand upright in your shower! The cap is so tiny that it falls over constantly. As for the product itself, I like it. I do wish it had more scrubby particles in it, I feel like it’s not enough to truly help exfoliate. But I do like the shampoo itself. Obviously considering it’s a clarifying shampoo/scrub it’s going to dry your hair out, that’s why you only want to use this once a week, or even once every 2-3 weeks depending on your specific hair needs. It definitely gets any build up out of my hair and scalp, and my hair feels fresh and squeaky clean after. Overall really enjoying it so far!

Do you need this? Here's the scoop...
I live in an area where I have to watch every single drop of water. I don't mind, part of me feels that this is what we should all do. Anyway, the end result of this is that often times my hair doesn't get washed as often as it should.Despite often using a clarifying shampoo, it just doesn't seem like it's enough sometimes. I'm also at the age where I worry about blocked follicles leading to thinning hair.If you are like me, in any aspect concerning hair, this product could be your new best friend. Not only does it have the scrubbing action of small particles of citrus peels, as you can see in the photograph, but it also exfoliates thanks to alpha hydroxy acid. It's important to note that you might not want to spend extended time and the sun when using this, which is the case with any time that you use alpha hydroxy acid. After using it your scalp definitely feels nice and clean, and ready for the next step of conditioner or hair mask. The fragrance is mild but oh so good. Sort of a citrusy melon. Maybe just a hint of floral. Light enough to be suitable for any gender, and it also does not scent your hair to the point where it will be noticeable after shampooing and conditioning. It's not harsh, despite its being so effective. That's probably due to the soothing oatmeal that's included in this formula. So there you have it. This might be a great product for you, especially if you're interested in scalp exfoliation. It might not be for you. Either way, I hope I've helped you to make a decision about whether or not you'd like to invest in it. I'm very fond of Biolage, this premium hair care company has been the choice of professionals for years.xxoo

Does an excellent job with cleaning, smells great. Leaves grit behind.
I will start off by saying that I love this shampoo. It does an excellent job cleaning, smells great, lathers well, and removes build up from my scalp...but unfortunately, it does not rinse fully. I am left with grit behind in my hair, which never rinses out no matter how much I try. I thought maybe conditioner would help with adding slip for rinsing, but there is always grit and it feels slightly disturbing when I run my hands through my hair. Even brushing with a boar bristle brush does not remove it.It does mention that it is also for the body, which is confusing as I don't see this listed on the packaging at all. I do use it to wash my face and neck though and had no issues. I haven't tried it as a body wash.I do wish the packaging had a standard flip top rather than a screw on top which can be easy to lose and makes it harder to place anywhere.I am really happy with how it leaves my hair feeling, with the exception of the left over gritty pieces, but I don't think I could buy it in the future due to the grit.

Great scalp scrub, but takes some effort to fully rinse out
This is a great scalp scrub shampoo, that lathers nicely and smells wonderful. The amount for the cost is quite reasonable, especially since after the first couple uses I realized this is definitely a less is more type of product. The scrubbing granules are very fine, much finer than any other scrubby shampoo I’ve used before (LUSH, IGK and Christophe Robin are a few I’ve tried), making this feel more gentle overall, though I did struggle with completely rinsing it from my fine but thick hair at first, and actually had to get back in the shower to re-rinse my hair again since I’d managed to leave some sand-like deposits despite thoroughly rinsing (or so I thought) as well as conditioning and rinsing that from my hair as well.Overall, as long as I don’t use too much, I now have less issues with fully ringing this from my hair, and I use it once every couple of weeks as a deeply clarifying scalp scrub that leaves my scalp and hair feeling fresh and clean. I always follow with a super hydrating conditioning treatment as well, since this can leave my hair feeling a bit dry.

Lovely Biolage smell, huge lather - squeaky clean scalp
I am a Biolage lover - I have used their products for years and this one did not disappoint.Biolage all-in-one shampoo scrub is different from a shampoo in that it clarifies your scalp as well as your hair. Instead of gritty (mechanical) exfoliation, this one uses primarily AHA (chemical) exfoliation. Less abrasive, and more effective - in my opinion!I unfortunately really don't like the packaging. The product comes in a tube with a twist off top. This makes it very difficult to store in your shower as it does not stand up, it has to lay flat and takes up a lot of precious shower space. I would much prefer a regular shampoo bottle - like Biolage uses for the rest of their products. Even a big, flat lid (like a bottle of bodywash) would be preferred - anything so that I can stand this bottle up instead of having to lay it flat. The scent of this product is great. If you're familiar with Biolage - this shampoo scrub smells like all of their other products. Biolage uses one scent for all of their hair products - and I love it! This one is no exception. The scent is light and kind of herbal and lingers in the hair very faintly after rinsing. It's gender-neutral, I would say.I am Caucasian, with shoulder-length straight/frizzy hair. I struggle with my hair being flat and limp but also frizzy. This scrub has helped in both regards. When I first used this product, I measured out the same amount as I would for a normal shampoo. It was way too much! This product lathers up like crazy and a little goes a long way. I was concerned that it would be difficult to concentrate on my roots/scalp, but it wasn't - you could use one of those scalp scrubby brushes to help out if you have more hair than me. The shampoo scrub is only a tiny bit gritty - pretty gentle on the skin. The primary "scrubbing" action comes from the chemicals included - alpha hydroxy acid. AHA is something I'm quite familiar with as I use it on my face. A very, very basic run down of AHAs is that they provide a bit of exfoliation by removing the top layers of dead skin cells. This is great for the scalp AND the hair - get rid of the dead stuff on top so that scalp oils can distribute through the hair better and the scalp breathes better. You're going to want to make sure that you rinse your hair and scalp very well after using this product and do be aware that you have a higher risk of sunburn when using products containing AHAs - this is something I worry about in the summer but not the winter, given I live in Alberta, but worth noting.I really liked this shampoo scrub. Because it has only minimal "mechanical" scrubbers - there's no grit to have to try to rinse out of my strands. The product lathers really well, rinses cleanly - and left my scalp feeling "invigorated". My hair was less limp at the roots (less weighed down) and slightly less frizz throughout. I don't wash my hair every day and I've been pleasantly surprised to discover that after washing with this product, my day 3 hair is quite a bit less greasy. My husband has been using this product also and says that after two weeks (4 washes) he has noticed less dandruff. This type of product shouldn't be used every day - just a couple of times per week. My hair and scalp like this product - my scalp feels "squeaky clean" after using it. It does mention on the bottle that this product can also be used as a bodywash (which is basically true of every shampoo, isn't it?) but at this price point ($40 for a 250 mL tube at the time of review) I couldn't justify using it in that way. While this product is expensive, a little does goes a long way and using this 2x per week I think that this tube will last several months. Just remember to concentrate on your scalp and roots and then work the product through your strands from there - less is more. And rinse well! I will probably buy another tube of this Biolage shampoo scrub once this tube is finished - I really like it, it's a nice addition to my haircare routine.

Excellent Scrub for More Great Hair Days
This is unlike any other shampoo I tried before. It's a scrub mainly designed for hair and scalp exfoliation. I never thought I needed to exfoliate my hair, but it does make a big difference. My hair comes out beautifully soft, cleansed, and has ample volume after every application. It's also more strong and manageable, so I don't need to use as much styling product. This scrub has a pleasant, natural scent that is not overpowering. This shampoo is infused with oatmeal and you can feel it scrubbing away and doing its thing. This also scrubs away all the oils built up on the scalp and hair, so applying a conditioner immediately after is necessary. Natural oils on the hair are actually a good thing, however, it does sometimes need a reset and that's where this product excels at. On the downside, this is a rather pricey hair product. However, I only use it bi-weekly to reset and refreshen my hair. So when used sparingly, it's totally worth it and has the desired effect - more great hair days. Full marks from me!

I was skeptical
I was honestly worried that this would be just another one of those fads.I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the quality and the end result of using this on my hair.I am worried about thinning hair because of the meds that I must take, so using this and I should say gently using it was wonderful. It help my scalp and my hair. Both felt a tiny bit tingly when usiing, but I assume that is the "scrubbing" part of this. The scent was too light for me, I wish they would have increased it twofold. Also, the price point is scary, but I have to say, my hair looks fantastic and my head feels truly "washed" which will go a long way in helping me keep my hair healthy.Very happy with this product.
