MUHAMMED ASAD
Absolutely awesome read. Feels like we are in the desert experiencing the journey with him. The chapters about talking in detail about IbnSaud were very interesting. But there are some places where there is too much details about surrounding environmental and his long philosophical opnions are sometimes dull. But overall are very finely written book

A must read, well written, amazing descriptive writing, grips you all the way. Amazing pearls of wisdom by a man who had a conscience. May Allah, the Lord of the Worlds accept his noble effort in explaining Islam in a simple way through his travels.

Muhammad Asad (Leopold Weiss born on 2 July 1900 to a Jewish family in Lemberg, died in 1997) was a Jewish-born Austro-Hungarian born journalist, traveler, writer, linguist, thinker, political theorist, diplomat and Islamic scholar. Asad was one of the most influential European Muslims of the 20th century. This book is one of the best books of adventure in wilderness of Arabia 70 years ago, and many other places, elegant, it is a part of his biography, reads like a fiction, and rich of information about so many ideas and places. Asad is the father of Talal Asad.
