Well-Structured and Informative
Case in Point: Graph Analysis provides informative understanding of the types of graphs, how to interpret them, and when to use them in various case interviews. This book would be helpful for anyone preparing for a case interview or presenting data.

This is a must have resource for anyone going through consulting case prep. The examples are spot-on, well written, and easy to understand. Very helpful especially when paired with the Case in Point prep book.

Must Have for Anyone Interviewing With McK, BCG or Bain!
A buddy of mine recommended this to me and I bought this book in preparation for my case interviews with the Big 3. After reading it and going through my case interviews, I can say I am glad that i purchased it. This is a must-have, as more of the case interviews are focusing on interpreting data in chart and graph form. Many of the other case prep books do not cover this topic in-depth and it is critical if you want to stand out from other candidates.

Fantastic resource!
Fantastic book! I have personally cased with Marc several times, and he is one of the absolute best people you can case with. This book is exceptionally helpful for anyone going through consulting interviews. There are some really good examples in this book. I have given several consulting interviews with many firms (MBB, Big 4, others) and I found the cases in these books very similar to the cases I received. The graph analysis is a simple, fun and easy to read book - I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the best way to case!

This Book Needs Proofreading
True to its title, this book contains a variety of graphs to analyze. However, the first 30 pages are really basic explanations of graphs that one could find anywhere (and should have been learned by the end of college anyway), so the main focus for me was the small collection of cases. However, some have some serious errors, and most use unreasonable assumptions. For example, the first pricing case has a multiplication error that undermines the solution, another case recommends that a monopoly use cost-based pricing, and another assumes 100% of consumers adopt the product . In the end I think there were two cases that seemed to teach me anything ... but I worry about errors I didn't catch.

A book with fundamental mistakes in business logic and for those who have never used Excel to build graphs
OMG I am shocked. I worked in consulting for four years (McKinsey and LEK) and I am familiar with case interviews fairly well. The book is so primitive and basic. The first half of the book is the description of different types of charts. A really basic description. The second half of the book is about cases. Those cases have nothing common with the reality. The first case is about noise cancellation headphones. There are three super basic graphs that you will never have in your interviews. These graphs are provided with super high-level insights (I could hardly call them insights though; it is just the description of the charts).I thought this was probably just one case that wasn't that great. So, I picked the sixth case which is on a pricing strategy. Omg, that one had mistakes in the fundamental business logic and economics. Page 57. "This seems to be a commoditized industry. If so, it seems as if cost-based pricing is the best approach". Are you kidding me? In the commoditized industry you don't set up prices, but you are a price-taker. The value propositions of the players are so similar, that the customers become highly price-sensitive. The price pressure is high leading to slim margins. So, everyone has the same (or very similar) prices. (Think about toothpaste, milk, music streaming services, etc.). Cost-based approach is also called "cost plus" as in order to determine your price you calculate your costs and add margin on top of that. You can do that only if you have market power (e.g. considerable market share and/or unique value proposition, etc.). At a commoditized market you usually don't have that much of market power.People, don't buy this book. It is a waste of money.

Utilissimo
Ti dà le basi per comprendere differenti tipi di grafico, anche mai visti. Oggigiorno in molti colloqui o durante gli studi i grafici sono diventati la base. Per me è molto utile. Non è molto lungo da leggere e di facile comprensione.

Great for basics
I used this book to prepare for a consulting case study interview.I liked this book as it explained different types of graphs, and explained the best way to read/interpret them. It also has 10 case studies solved. Which is pretty useful.Although, I found that the graphs that you are given in real case study interviews are even harder to interpret and more confusing.I wish this book had more advanced case studies as well.
