I was having trouble replacing the batteries of my old solar unit (not very user friendly). I found this a much easier option, and not tremendously more expensive. The two units I received, have worked great in my solar bunnies all summer. They stay lit for about 4 hrs. after dark. It's so nice to have this option of replacing old units.

I like these lights but they have a problem, luckily it's easily fixed. I use these for crafts and 12 out of 12 lights have had the exact same issue. During manufacturing they do not push the battery all the way down into the holder which makes the lights work intermittently. To fix it you remove the 3 screws and carefully lift the top up so you can reach in and push the battery down all the way. Be careful because the wires are delicate and are attached to the top and bottom so you cannot take the top all the way off. It's always the positive side that is up. When you put it back together make sure to not pinch a wire. Also make sure you align the tabs in the top and bottom. See pics for help. Good luck. You can do it :)!

I bought these in July 2022. During this past Winter, 2023, one of this pair is completely rusted inside the housing. A wire that connects to the light bulb was rusted and disintegrated, causing the inside and the battery to be full of rust. So much for waterproof. The batteries were both dead but I do have extras and charge them as needed. I do not know how to contact the manufacturer, as there is no link that I can find on this page. Maybe Amazon could do a better job for the consumer.

I had a dollar general ceramic light blue solar lantern. Somehow, the solar panel was fried inside. I took a chance because it is so pretty and bought the replacement panel. I measured my existing panel and matched it best I could with the sizes available. It fit like a glove. So glad I was able to replace it.

These were a great replacement for an outdoor globe I have on my patio table, but once it becomes dark the light only lasts 1 hour and quickly dims to nothing within 1-2 hours.
