Exactly what I needed to get my CVA-24 solar heating valve rotating again
I notice that my pool's solar heating system wouldn't disengage, even after the pool was fully warmed up. I experimented with the valve and couldn't force it to move, even with the manual override. I talked to my pool guy and he indicated that a new switch would be several hundred dollars. I went over to YouTube and found a video explaining what the most common causes of failure are and ultimately, it came down to the limit switches. Though I cleaned the contacts, the limit switches were problematic. These replacements came just in the nick of time and swapping them was a breeze. They are a little more compact than the OE switches, but seem to be well made. After installing, the valve sprang back to life and now works exactly as expected. I couldn't be more pleased. Hopefully these last as long as the OEM switches (more than 7 years) - but even if they don't, at least I know exactly how to change them out and get back in business quickly.
