Mr. Heater Universal Propane Fuel Filter

Essential for operation of your Mr. Heater and bbq tank propane. I've found that Blue Rino brand is very "dirty" propane and clogs your heater with a light oil without this filter - after only about 10 or 20 hours operation.Each filter lasts me for 3 or 4 months of daily operation before filling up.

Good product & reasonable price

Before I thought waist the money but after 4-5 months use line clogged. I was lucky to fire up again but spend hours in 5 days. Little by little first few second next try 5 second and so on. After 10-20 attempt you need to let it sit like an hour to allow the oil to leak back to bottom of line and fire again with smoke. Keep hand lighter ready because easy to fire the lid. YOU MUST BUY if you don't want to tear in a part and clean up every time clocks.

I had to buy this due to after purchasing the tough buddy heater the manual states "if you use this with a larger tank you will need this filter". The three years of warranty does require that Mr heater products be used not to void warranty. Note I did buy the hose to adapt to a larger tank, you would think this filter would have come with this filter.

Based on the extensive experience of a good friend who heats his cabin with a Mr. Heater brand propane heat, I invested in this filter for the Mr. Heater we added to our travel trailer. So far it works perfectly and eliminated the worry of clogged propane line in cold weather.A reasonable and prudent precaution for the cost.

I've had mine for over 3 years and my space heater is still working fine. I used to have to replace them every winter. I didn't know propane was dirty. Definitely paid for itself.

..but it was recommended for using a "Mr. Heater" buddy heater while connected to a 3.5-40lb propane cylinder. Apparently the propane carries some oils, or other contaminates, that can decay a hose and foul up heater elements.For the $10 (at the time of writing), I would rather stay warm, than cursing at a heater that wasn't working,due to some contaminates, I wasn't aware of. If it works, I'll never know, because I won't have a problem I didn't know I could have.Think about that.

I used it for a portable propane heater. It works as expected.
