Black-White Blackout Window Film

Leaving a review 3 years later.. It looks ugly but does the job and stayed up for years. The light was shining into my bedroom was waking me up every morning. The curtain wouldn’t cover it so I put this up. It was really good.

We just received the order, had it installed and we are quite impressed with the results. As it’s too early, I might have to come back in a few days/weeks to update this review. The installation is quite easy because it’s a thick material, it is way easier to install than the UV privacy films. Removing the bubbles is a piece of cake as well as adjusting it to the window. As you can see in the photo, we have venetian blinds and blackout roller blinds so the installation was a bit trickier because We couldn’t get to the top of the window. As such, there is a line of light still visible on the upper side but we hope that it won’t be a problem. If the film is clingy enough and holds, we will buy it for all the other windows!

We installed blinds in the upstairs bedroom when we moved in. When we had our daughter, we installed curtains to try and darken the room, but was still wayyyyyyy too light in the nursery. My wife used some foil at first, which made our house look like a crack den, so after a few months of looking up in disgust every time I came home, I bought some of this stuff. Removing the foil was a nightmare as lots of it had "baked" onto the window and had left a strange residue. So I deep cleaned the windows ready for the FEOMOS black out film. We got the white/black version so that the glass didn't crack. It was a little tricky to get on perfectly. There are lots of places where there is a 0.5mm gap or the corners aren't quite perfect. Despite this, it makes her room completely black. We do still use the blinds and curtains for additional effect. We are actually now buying it again for our own room, as we have a new baby in there and my wife and baby are waking up at 4am with the sun. Yes, the foil is up on those windows now, flapping in the breeze during the night and driving me crazy. But not for long. Overall an effective product. I think it's hard to get something that will 100% black out the windows. This is good because it's extremely low profile (it's literally stuck to the windows)

I installed this on a south-facing window in a baby's nursery after previously relying on blackout blinds and curtains. It is far more effective (no gaps for light to shine through at the top/ sides) and has almost entirely eliminated the light coming in, and reduced the room temperature. The only down-sides (to me) are: firstly, as this is quite a thick window film it is essential to have a sharp knife and a good straight-edge in order to install this successfully; and secondly, once installed it is so effective that in order to let any natural light in you will need to open the window!

Was quite expensive and it doesn't work at night which I didn't respond

My blackout curtains were not working as it should so I bought this and was surprised how good it is. It totally blocks the light out and leave the room pitch dark. Perfect for baby naps. Well worth the money

This is terrible. It doesn't stick to anything and just slides off.

This product works great and very easy to install! I work night shifts and need to sleep during the day and this film blocks out all the light from my bedroom windows. Very pleased with it. After being happy with it in our old place, I bought this for the 2nd time and installed it in our new home.
