A good starting pack for beginners
A good introduction for begins to I Ching the cards are very handy as a study guide. However a more in-depth look on the subject would enhance any serious study into I Ching

Simple pack with real metal coins
I do like my iChing set, it works fine to get started and liked that the coins they give you are metal not plastic. But they don’t feel like real coins (thin) so have supplemented with real ones I bought from china town. The book is perhaps a bit too basic and thin for my liking with only very criptic basic messages, which also differ a bit from the ones on the card which are also quite basic and cryptic, so you end up having to read both anyway to try to get some insight. I find it works best to use in conjunction with a website or app that can give you a more wholistic combined message and more explanation. I may get a better guidebook, but after replacing both the coins and the guidebook all that is really left if the guide cards which aren’t actually required so….I think it’s good as a starting point, or as a fun gift, or for parties etc. but it feels more like a toy or game than something that has substance or enough detailed info as a pack for divination purposes. I would suggest getting a good guidebook and just using your own coins. But that said it’s ok, and I don’t regret purchasing it as a stepping stone and intro into iChing. I’ve had some fun with it. But I’ll be getting a better guidebook or app for readings.

Not clear which side is heads and which is tails
This is ok, however, it doesn't state which side of the coin is heads and which side is tails. For a complete beginner to I Ching, this is essential information. By googling, I have worked it out, but the omission of this fundamental piece of information is ridiculous in a starter kit. I'd have thought the publisher would have pointed that out. You'll also need another book, the one that comes with it is pretty sparse and basic. I do like that the interpretations are printed on cards similar to an oracle deck.
