Static noise
Good radio for the money, however has a static hum. Even if playing something it has a lofi quality hum which is all I listen to so it doesn’t bother me. Road noise also drowns it out. Doesn’t bother me but for anyone else it would surely be annoying. CarPlay works well and resolution isn’t a problem. Responsive screen.

Just ok but does the job
Slow responsiveness of the buttons/touchscreen. But the price I paid it’s ok. Can’t expect high quality in such a cheap costing product so you get what you pay for. But it does do the job. The microphone works well for handfree communication.

Waste of time
This is one of the cheapest Carplay/Android Auto units available so I was not expecting miracles. But I did at least expect it to work, which it didn't.The main issue is that Dual put a permanent USB pigtail on the back of the stereo rather than a female USB port. Carplay and Android Auto are so sensitive to cable quality and cable length and with this mediocre quality, permanently attached cable adding length to the system, it does not work reliably. It just connects and then disconnects over and over. I feel like this could probably have been easily avoided if they just used a regular female USB port. Not sure why they decided to use a permenent pigtail but I think it was a big mistake. The other big issue is that there is a constant white noise hissing any time that the stereo is powered on and not muted. It is very noticeable if you play Bluetooth music. Pause the music. Then mute and unmute the stereo. You will hear it go from silence to hissing. It does it even when the car is parked and not running so I don't think it is a noise/interference issue. It is something internal to the stereo. The hissing is pretty annoying.Besides that the audio quality is not great in general. Granted it is cheap stereo so I could probably have lived with this if not for the 2 issues described above.I ended up returning this and getting a Pioneer DMH-160BT from Walmart, which is nearly the same price but so far seems like a much better unit.

Worth it
Ive been around the car audio game for over 15yrs and remember when Jensen spawned off and started making Dual. Back then they were way more entry level than Jensen, but now i think they really stepped up. Dual has had a bad rap of being cheap, poor sound quality etc etc. Ive installed quite a few Dual double din units from the xdvd276bt, xdvd156bt, xdvd269bt and a few other. And just recently this DCPA701... i have nothing but good things to say about this deck. Built in 8band eq, front rear and subwoofer outputs, and even time alignment(for those that know). Plus the apple carplay and adroid auto connectivity is a huge plus for a $200 stereo. If youre on a budget and need a good double din with a good amount of features, this is it.

Good for its price. Not much more to say
This is a pretty standard Carplay enabled double DIN head unit. For the price, you can't really beat it, but prior to the pandemic, you can get better stuff for the same price. The functionality is good, but it would be nice if Carplay was wireless. The only thing that I didn't like was that the audio has a little bit of high pitch noise when the music is quiet.I also like that it has a rear camera input, so I had that set up as well, and modernized a 12 year old car to current standards.

Has wireless Android Auto/CarPlay!
I really like this product. I've had it installed in 2 different cars and it works great. I have never had to press the reset button. Smooth app connection. Good sound!

Bang for the buck
This radio was easy peasy to install. Looks great in my 03 Tahoe, and added CarPlay. The call clarity has been pretty good as well. The instructions were simple and everything was color coded appropriately. I used the mounting bracket from a previous aftermarket radio, and it fits great.Sound quality was much improved as compared to the Nesa radio the vehicle came with when I purchased it.
