$400 for this, or $10,000 for a contaminated fuel system on a Ford 6.7. You decide...
Just bought a 2015 F350 with a 6.7. I installed this kit last week.I had never even looked under the hood of a 6.7 before.I would say I'm advanced shade tree mechanic level. Been turning wrenches for 40 years but never professionally.Instructions are adequate, but not great. Several Youtube Videos for this install, one of the best being from Thoroughbred Diesel. Look 'em up.Straightforward install, but time consuming. Start to finish was 6 hours for me.Toughest part of install, hands down, was removing the plastic upper intake. Some of the rear bolts are a challenge to reach, and then removing the intake from the truck itself is a major PIA. There isn't much room to work with, and the bolts you just loosened to remove the intake stay on the intake, but loose. They can't be pulled out and removed. Those same loose bolts hang down and catch on everything as you try and pull the intake forward and out of the engine compartment. It's kind of like playing Whack-A-Mole trying to find the next bolt that is catching on something and causing you grief. The new fuel return line that runs from S&S's filter block back to the original return barb on truck was way too long. I contacted S&S for guidance. I talked to a rep and texted him pictures. He agreed that hose was too long for my 2015 and that they would make me a shorter, custom return hose for my truck. Supposedly my truck was somehow different from the millions of other 6.7's out there; who knows. The originally supplied hose is being used now, but it's a convoluted, twisted mess trying to deal with it being too long. Hopefully the shorter hose will show up soon.Truck was started back up according to directions. I cycled key eight or 9 times to purge fuel system before actually starting it. There is a lot of air in the lines and new filter to be purged; you can hear the air bubbling in the fuel tank when you do this.Big picture, it's a no-brainer to do this. $400 and a day of your time will potentially save you a massive amount of money in the future. One side note- I debated this or the full S&S DCR pump conversion. I needed truck on the road ASAP after I purchased it, and wasn't going to take a chance with the stock fuel system. This was much quicker, labor wise, and 1/5 the cost of the DCR pump. I'll go back and do the full DCR conversion at some point, but for now this was the best and quickest solution for me.

Well worth it
Took a solid half days worth of work to install, pretty straight forward and simple. Put about 15k miles on it so far with no issues. Worth the added insurance in my opinion, hopefully will never need to test it out.

High quality product. Time consuming install. Worth it.
High quality parts, delivered extremely fast, you can tell S&S takes pride in their products.Installation was a pain, but doable if you have time (took me 5 hours at a careful pace) and a variety of swiveling maneuvering tools. Be sure to have a Long T25 and a Long 4mm Allen as well.I did end up needing to bring down the lower manifold, but that’s no biggie!Overall very happy with the kit and the peace of mind it gives.

kit is an insurance policy and my Ford dealer put it in for me.
I heard about the POS CP4 pump issue, and found this kit after watching you-tubes. My Ford dealer does a lot of commercial trucks with diesels and said yes they would put it in for me, they had done numerous and recommended I get this kit. So there you have it. Even some of the Ford service shops will put it in. Mine did and did a clean job on the installation. Kit was 400$ and installation was under 600$ so I view it as a 1000$ insurance policy against a potential 13000$ disaster. I'm sleeping solid at night. PS, I'm also using Fords cetane booster and fuel lubricant additive.
