Not all of his work, but very nicely presented.
I have owned three other Norman Rockwell books, and I have looked for any books of his work that really do them justice by reproducing them accurately and in decent size. This book has some of the best quality reproductions of Rockwell's paintings I have seen, if not the best. I wish it included more of his work, but I understand that it is an exhibition catalogue and focuses on what was shown in the exhibition. With that said, it contains a very nice variety, including a few I don't have in the other three books... and they are beautifully reproduced in a good size on nice quality paper that is not glossy and reflective, but still bright.

Beautifully illustrated and presented book on the life and art of Norman Rockwell.
I am fond of classic American illustrators and have been reading up on them. This catalogue from the 2014 exhibition in Rome provides a brilliant introduction to Norman Rockwell. It's beautifully illustrated not only with the paintings but also with the sketches and reference he used to create them. There is a detailed biography too. For anyone - like me- who had overlooked Norman Rockwell's work as bland, idealised American illustrations will find it a revelation. He was not only an excellent painter but also is revealed to be a thoughtful man with a profound social conscience.I was delighted with the quality of this nicely presented volume and recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about Norman Rockwell and his work.

Disappointing.
Nope it’s a miss - hardly any of his works shown - and not many of the famous ones. Too much writing and a disproportionate amount of pages given over to his more obscure works. No. Have seen much better Rockwell books. Weird format too - had a condensed feel which I didn’t particularly like.
