Absolutely you can damage the floor, remember the bag was designed To be used outdoors. The good news is I use a piece of carpet under the bag indoors, works great. Remember if you hit the bag correctly you Should not hit the floor at all.

Q: What is the bag made out of?

It is not leather but it is a very sturdy material. Sort of a composite of canvas and rubber. If used as designed, your clubs will not puncture this material.

Q: is the bag filled with something or empty

Its empty, I have filled mine from old rags to birdseed wrapped in thick plastic bags.

Q: What kinds of things put in the impact bag?

The bag ships unfilled You then fill it with towels or old cloth on your own
