Great choice
I bought this for filtering my aquarium water before passing through an external pump which I use to do water changes. The hose fitted snugly and would have remained in place without the jubilee clip but was easy to slide onto the filter. It seems pretty well made. I don't like to buy cheap tat so I'm glad this is of very reasonable quality, does the job and should last.

It's mostly good....
The overall quality is high, it seems sturdy, has some weight about it, and the metal mesh is fine enough to keep out any problematic debris for sure. Why four stars? It's a small annoyance, but the flange on mine is NOT 1.28 cm, or 0.5 inch. It is around 1 cm, which means the hole is a bit small, and it doesn't hold on to a garden hose without further clips. and I suppose the flow rate is more limited due to the size. If you look at the images carefully, you can see they are showing pictures of a narrower clear pipe.At the price, I'm keeping it for sure. But I'd like one with the correct dimensions too, to go with my recent pump acquisition.

Pond pump life saver
This is a realstiveky expensive filter, but it makes such a massive difference to the pump flow, by stopping debris.

Not what I expected
It does the job but not what I was expecting , as one review I read stated it was weighty which its not

Good stuff
Fits a hose well. Weighted so it sinks to the bottom of a buffer tank. Decent mesh. Very happy.

Good
This little thing, on the end of a bit of hosepipe means you can amaze and enthral your neighbours during a hosepipe ban. It's really pretty simple, just dunk this in a bucket, waterbutt or (as in my case) a pond, attach the other end to your pressure washer and works just like normal.Things to know though... You will lose pressure quite often - I couldn't really work out why, as I couldn't see anything in the filter to stop waterflow, but whatever it was, a bit of a shake or swill around in the water and you're back up and running (although my K4 took a moment or two to fully crank up after the filter was cleaned). You also have to make sure this thing is actually below the surface of the water, or else (no surprise) it won't work very well. The other thing to know is the "spigot" on this filter is a bit on the thin side, so is too loose in a standard hosepipe. I used a bit of self-amalgamate tape to stick it in place and ensure a fully water-tight seal. I'd imagine some duck tape, electrical tape or silicone would do equally well.Either way, this (which I bought for less than £4) and a bit of hosepipe is all that Kercher and people charge £20 for - so this is an absolute bargain. It got the bit of pressure washing I wanted to do finished - all during a hosepipe ban.
