Worth the price.
This is the best Moto Mod available. I have 5 of the mods in total. The battery life of the projector is good and so is the picture. I believe it's 720p quality, but it's definitely HD. The mod feels very high quality to the touch. I got it discounted, but I think it was worth it at the original MSRP for those with the money. It auto corrects based on the angle you have it at like full-sized projectors so you don't have to worry about a distorted or misshapen wall image. I've had it for about a year. It's still working great, and it came with a small fabric bag that protects it if you carry it with you. I use that bag to carry both my projector and battery mod from the Moto Z3. It's a durable product overall, so I can't imagine how anyone could damage it beyond functional unintentionally, other than long drops. And anyone who says it's a con that you can't use your phone for anything needs to spend more time away from the smartphone and learn how to live without it for at least the duration of a movie. The point of the mods is to transform your phone by adding a cool feature to your phone that's easy to operate. Connecting the mod requires no other step or pairing process like Bluetooth. If what you really want is a standard projector or in the case of the speaker Moto Mod a Bluetooth speaker (because you want to use your phone for something else too), then you missed the point of the mods. This mod will project whatever is on your phone screen. Why you'd want to do something else on your phone besides project whatever you're showing also is beyond me. The point is to project what's on the phone. This includes Netflix and most other apps. Some apps block screen projection, like the Spectrum app and some others. This product is worth the money, and so was the speaker for that matter.

Love, Love, Love!
I can't say enough about this awesome mod! This is the reason why I refuse to buy a new phone. I hope Motorola comes out with a new mod compatible phone.

Wow! It really works!
I love this device! It's very easy to use and it works pretty darn well overall. The resolution is only 480p, but the picture quality is surprisingly good despite that. And it works well enough in semi-bright rooms which is a major bonus, but it does works best in darker settings. I've seen projectors in the past that didn't work at all unless the room was totally dark so this is awesome that the picture is bright enough to be visible in almost any scenario. It also has a feature that automatically tilts the picture to best fit your viewing angle, so if you're projecting an image high up on the wall or on the ceiling but not near or directly above you, then it'll 'tilt' the image to be more comfortable to view. It's not perfect, but it's definitely better than nothing and I've found it to be far more useful than not. The price is finally right, too. At two hundred it was just too expensive. I'd gladly pay up to one hundred for this and I didn't even pay that. Fantastic purchase.

WOW what a Mod!
I just received my insta-share projector mod for my Z2 and all I can say is WOW. I got it at a great price here on Amazon - $106. I'm the family video director and this fits my needs perfectly. I used to have to burn DVD's or find some other method to present my videos to the family but from now on all I'll have to do is put the file on my phone and snap this mod on the back then show it. All the hassles I used to go through to present my videos is gone. I will say at 50 lumen it isn't as bright as I hoped but it does show a good picture and is easy to use. I'm thrilled. This is my first Moto Mod and I can't wait to try other Moto Mods in the future. These mods are the reason I went with Motorola for my cell phone this time. I know I'll own this for a long time and when it comes to upgrading my phone in the future I'll go with the Moto phone that accepts these mods again. Good - quick and easy to setup Comes with a nice travel bag Doesn't add too much bulk to the phone (now I see why Moto is trying to make the Z family of phones so thin) Good picture quality even when I show the old 8mm home movie clips I converted to digital format. Bad - Small battery Picture could be brighter Overall I am thrilled with this mod.

Exceeded my expectations
I purchased this mod expecting the cool factor to be greater than the practical factor and I didn't think I would use it that much. WRONG on both accounts. By FAR the best and most useful Moto Mod. The projector, unlike the camera, has its own battery supply so it will run a long time. But you can also charge both from the phones charging port so you can keep it connected to a power source for those binge movie nights. It also has a built-in fan to cool the bulb so it doesn't get hot. Pros: lightweight, easy to carry in your pocket (comes with a pouch). Respectable battery life. And once again if you charge the phone it charges the projector also. Pretty good image quality. I use it in my room and I get a 100" diagonal screen on my wall. I pair the phone with my Bose speakers and I'm transported to the theater. Impressive. I have also used it to project videos of the stars and galaxies on my ceiling at night (I got major points for that!). I've used it while traveling and it comes in handy. Cons: the larger the picture, the greater the color loss. Now that can be remedied by projecting it on a projector screen. But on its own there is loss but well worth it. A worthy trade-off. Everytime you want to pause or rewind you have to grab the phone. This can be remedied with a Bluetooth remote control for Android (cheap). Summary: overall a great mod that exceeds my expectations on quality, cool factor and practicality. And at the discounted price of $150 it's a no brainier.

Tiny projector, big picture!
I don't write reviews often, but this little toy deserves one. I was hesitant to purchase this because I just didn't believe such a tiny projector would be all that spectacular. But I read the reviews that all praised it and took a leap. Wow! This little thing is great. I started propping it up on my headboard and projecting onto the ceiling. It has a cool feature that auto corrects for the projection angle so the picture maintains a rectangular shape and doesn't turn into a trapezoid. I have a cute little Bose Bluetooth speaker that adds great sound. Then we tried projecting across the living room onto the wallpaper. Not ideal, but the picture was decent. My husband was so impressed that he replaced his worn out iPhone with a Z4 so he can use this now too. This works great for us because we ditched the satellite TV, and stream everything through our phones. The Smart TV was sapping the high speed hotspot data pretty fast, especially now that we are all (4 of us) working from home. This projector lets us watch on a big screen without draining that hotspot data. So then I ordered a cheap 100" screen off Walmart online, sorry Amazon, but it was a better deal and promised faster shipping. Anyway, the picture from this little projector, blown up to that 100" screen is impressive. I'll post a photo if I can figure out how. The only thing I don't really care for is that it's hard to feel/find the focus adjustment in the dark. Well worth the $$!

Fun with MOTO is not to be missed!
What a cool moto experience. When I saw this mod, I was immediately intrigued. I cannot say enough about how great this works, the quality of the picture, the added sound, the ease of connecting to my moto Z2, etc. The picture adjusts, depending upon where you project it. It's almost like it KNOWS the best way to project the picture. I'm thrilled with this new toy and plan to use it a lot. Not sure about the battery usage yet, but I imagine it will serve my impromptu needs. This removes the need for me to carry around a huge/heavy projector for presentations, etc. Also, a much more fun way to share pictures and videos. I cannot wait to play with this further. FORGOT to add, comes with a great carrying bag. Well done Moto!

Wow. Just wow!
I don't know why I had a Moto phone for 2 1/2 years before I decided I needed this. I was considering buying a second TV to use for YouTube tutorials in my music studio but just didn't want to spend the money, or take that much wall space. Then I remembered this exists. I didn't expect much. It just arrived today and I haven't tested battery power yet but my first impression is overwhelmingly positive. I don't even have a good wall and probably should get a screen for it, but even on the wood panelling in my studio, it's definitely clear enough even with afternoon light streaming in the many large windows to clearly see the picture! I tried it in a slightly darker room with only one window, projected on my popcorn ceiling, and it's so good that I could happily watch a movie. The kickstand is designed so well that you can point it anywhere. Why isn't this more popular? Why doesn't everyone have a Moto Z phone? This is truly puzzling to me. This is amazing. The JBL speaker mod is amazing. If I was a gamer I would definitely go for the gaming control mod. This ecosystem is a game changer.
