VERY impressive. I have dealt with capture systems for DECADES, and was expecting this one to just be average considering it size; but actually the video capture was EXCELLENT. Keep in mind that most camcorder or VHS footage is low res, so this was easily handled by the capture device. It works perfectly on Windows 1064 bit. I am VERY HAPPY with this device.

DOA. No drivers for windows 10 included.

I learned by purchasing a different mfr's similar unit that these devices have issues with their driver in Windows 10. The CD supplied has driver software, but it did not install correctly. This was reported in Windows Device Manager. When this happens, your computer won't be able to see or use the hardware. My solution came when I found a free utility on the Web called DriverMax. I downloaded it and used it as a tool to locate and install the correct driver. My computer now sees the hardware and the device can be used. The software supplied for video capture is excellent and easy to use. It is much better than the software that was supplied with the previously purchased and returned similar unit. I recommend this product, as once correctly installed it does a very good job of capturing video and editing it, as well as saving in the MP4 format for storage or uploading to YouTube.

Does a good job of doing what it was intended to do - video capture. Be careful about plugging it in to a USB hub instead of directly to a USB port on your computer. When I did that, the computer could not find it. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is the software. The software included is OK. Does an adequate job of capture, but I wish it could capture in a choice from multiple formats instead of just mp4. If you want a different format you have to capture first and then convert. Time consuming.

After 10 hours of trial and error and reading online posts of how Arcsoft Showbiz the software works I finally can say I know how to capture VHS recordings. I am still learning editing and the art of “multi-trim.” The third step in the process, production, is easy but so far half of my video copies are sluggish and are worthless because of poor video. There is no way to predict if a video will be captured correctly and burned onto a disc is viewable condition. Good luck.

Product is supposed to be compatible with my operating system, but it is not at all. Support is non-existent, and documentation is from a person whose English is their 8th learned language. DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 7.

The product worked as advertised. The instructions were really straightforward to get both the software and hardware up and running. The software is a bit clunky, but very usable. I'm very happy with it!

It works with hardly any fiddling around necessary. I struggled with other models that installed cumbersome UI's and truncated videos at weird intervals, forcing me to stitch things together in their clunky editing software. This, just worked.
