Buyer Beware!
The box of the device itself (which was inside an Amazon box that was not dented or anything) is inside a flimsy obviously re-used plastic cover, smashed and the security seal of the box itself is already open. The same thing goes with the box of the strips. I am not even going to try it and will return it right away cuz for devices such as this, it’s not safe when the seal is broken.

Don’t Buy - Comes from India
This doesn’t work - several readings taken at same time are all over the place. Comes from India. Very misleading.

Hate this monitor!
The spot to add blood is in the middle of the strip. Recommend you insert strip into meter and then add the drop of blood. Vet inconvenient! Also got multiple errors. I hate this monitor, ordered a different one already!

Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Meter Kit, Vial of 10 strips - consistently low reading
Let me start by giving this device 5-Stars for its good looks and brand name. From the above, I deduct 2 stars for lack of accuracy. What do I mean? Let me explain. You see, every alternate day, I was doing fasting sugar test with this device. Looking at the good results, the doctor reduced the diabetes medication dosage.Within days, my body was indicating that something was wrong. All this while however, the Accu-Check continued to show that my fasting sugar was more-or-less okay (for a diabetic). So, I went back to the doctor and he rightly suspected that the meter was giving bad readings. He prescribed two lab tests on two different days and told me to do a test with the Accu-Check at the same time as the lab took the blood sample. In both cases, the lad reading was roughly 35 mg/dl higher than that indicated by this Accu-check meter. In fact, I have an older Accu-check version that required a chip. When I tested my sugar levels with the older Accu-check meter, it too displayed a reading that was 30 mg/dl higher than the new meter. Obviously these no-chip glucometers are not as accurate as we are made to believe. At best, they only give a rough indication of the sugar level and cannot be used as a basis on which to change medication dosage. It seems glucometer reading that is off by 15% of the lab results should be considered accurate. But in this case, it was off by more than 30%.Of the remaining 3-Stars, I deduct another 2 stars for error reading. Let me explain.Very often after putting a drop of blood on the test strip (while it is in the meter), the Accu-Check meter would display an error. Result; wasted test strips and we all know how expensive these things are. Now, I'm not new to using the glucometer. I've been using the previous chip based glucometer for three years. So, yes, I know how to do the test. The number of times it displayed such errors, indicates to me something is seriously not right with this meter. So finally, we are left with just one star (I wish I could knock that off too). Should you buy this product? I'm sorry, but I have to say absolutely not !!!!

Easy to use and store.
Using for about 6 months. It is so easy to use. I can't say about the accuracy. The box is very useful to carry it along with. This is a new model, and doesn't contains the slot for coding chip, which used to be provided with test strips. This makes easy for older and low educated people.

Disappointed with the accuracy.
I measured my blood sugar level using this instrument and at the same time checked it through a pathological lab and it was off by 30units i.e meter had an error of +30.
