works and fits great
this brace works period. it gives the support where my foot needs it, and permits good enough movement in the plane that does not need support. i am a basketball player, and i developed a Posterior Tibialis tendonitis from several ankle sprains. and my ankle was hurting as hell for 6 months, nagging pain. no fracture, just wear and tear of the tendon. so the my Orthopedic Doctor prescribed me this Malleoloc brace, and in 2 - 3 weeks time of bracing it and of course i rested away from basketball in those weeks, and it is all good now. the Good thing about this brace is that, aside from the things i mentioned in my first statement, it fits well inside the shoe! the ankle braces i bought in walmart before, the foam with velcro does not fit good inside the shoe. sure you can fit it if you adjust the laces but when you run and play i felt uncomfortable with it especially on the arches. with this Malleoloc, it holds the sides of your ankle but in the arches it is not bulky. and i can play basketball with this one on my ankle. BUY IT! Cons: price - but you get what you pay for, quality materials

Outrageously Overpriced and Uncomfortable
I am recovering from a broken ankle (non-weight-bearing tibia bone). I have been wearing a brace made my another maker to stabilize the ankle so that I don't twist it. My PT recommended this brand. I was expecting more. It's really just two flimsy pieces of molded plastic and a couple of cheap Velcro straps. Seriously, it's the sort of thing that should cost $10 or less. It is 5x the cost of my other brace with no more support and less padding. The heel piece rubs against the sole of the foot. Save your money. Sending this one back.

Perfect for my hairline ankle fracture
I am a woman with a small foot and ankle (shoe size US 5.5). I sustained a hairline fracture near the base of my R tibia (outside ankle area) after falling down stairs. This brace was perfect for the stability I needed. The ortho doctor sent me home in a full lower leg boot which was overkill, extremely uncomfortable and abandoned after an hour. I went online and after lots of searching found this brace. It is perfect … a bit too thick to wear with my small shoes but fine with a slide-on sandal. Keep in mind I have a petite foot and ankle and this was just a hairline fracture. It may not be enough stability if your ankle issue is in a different category. Great quality materials … highly recommend if you have a similar incident. I’ve been using for 6 weeks and will continue till fully healed = no pain!! And it actually feels good to wear … like an ankle hug☺️

Works, But Causes Discomfort/Blister
First, the product seems well-made. It prevents my ankle from rolling when I wear it. Now for the bad news. After only about 45 minutes and walking up and downhill for about a mile on an archery range, this thing was creasing or doing something to the bottom of my foot. It was very painful and left a long, thin blister where the edge of the device went under my foot. I was wearing it under my sock. I haven't tried it over my sock as that seems like it will be slippery and not prevent rolling very well. I'll try wearing it like that when I'm just around the house and can easily remove it.

MaleoLoc Ankle Brace
1. product arrived on time and in good condition. 2. Makes quite a difference. Ankle feels much more comfortable. There is far more support than any other over the counter product I have tried could provide. This is a good product. 3. Would recommend wearing a thin, well-fitting sock under the brace. Feels more comfortable that way.

Lightweight and comfortable
I bought this brace to help stabilize my left ankle, which has pretty severe PTTD. Having gone through several braces previously, this is easily the most comfortable and effective brace I've found to date. In addition, it is very lightweight and easy to put on. It fits fine inside my current hiking boots and even with sandals. It does not fit inside my cycling shoes, but probably would if my ankle weren't in such bad condition. The price may seem a little high, but I have found it well worth it for the comfort and quality.

Ankle Brace
I have a traumatic acute disrupted lateral ligament of the ankle complicating degenerative arthritis. When the swelling and bruising had mostly resolved, I began using the Malleoloc ankle brace to support the ankle and relieve the pain of walking. I had tried Ace wraps and an air-type splint without any relief. The Malleoloc fitted perfectly [over a sock, after some trial and error on bare skin]. I use it without any problems in my usual jogger, Propet shoe and Muck gardening boots. It allows flexion/extension at the ankle [subtalar] joint and restricts eversion, and particularly inversion [which stresses the damaged ligament]. I wear it most of the time during the day without noticing it. I have walked up to 17000 steps in a day with it, about half power walking. I could not do this without this brace because of pain and instability. It provides exceptional support on rough terrain and symptomatic and functional improvement. I will wear it until the ligaments heal - it is now 6 months [follow up MRI next month].

Uncomfortable
Despite conflicting reviews, I ordered this because my orthodontist recommended it. The box was slightly damaged and the sides of the brace seemed slightly bent. Besides this, there is a hard plastic piece on the bottom that dug into my foot. This brace was very uncomfortable. Luckily, returning it was an easy experience.
