Manual controls are touch sensors located on frame, and they do not have back light. You can't see their icons in the night even with reasonable light from outside (at least in black color version of panel). This may be acceptable for your own room and use, because you can memorize button locations or use smartphone to control. But not suitable for guests, guest rooms, airbnb rents etc. Also, if someone push the panel up, it slides very easy, removed, and may be damaged especially if people do not care properly, which is a case of guests and kids.In all other aspects, the thermostat is fair deal, good manufacturing quality, no issues with connection, easy app download and connect, all good. I'm thinking to order the second one even despite remarks.Programmable: you can set various temperatures for working days (Mon-Fri), Saturday and Sunday. It does not support Sunday-Thursday working weeks.

So I went into this with an open mind. Cheap products can exist alongside quality control. But that's not the case here. You definitely get what you pay for in every sense of the word. It's a fragile thermostat with outdated software. Typical symptoms include random disconnection and unreliable temperature set-points. And this is coming from a tech guy!Like I enjoy spending time with installation and optimization. It's what I do. They replaced it twice - first one had a faulty Wifi adapter and the second one had a sensor that wasn't programmed correctly. Sure you can flash a custom firmware on these but that's not the use case for most people. They just want something that is reliable. Save yourself the time as well as sheer agony.

Pretty easy to install, connect to Smart App and configure it. No issue at all. 2 weeks passed without any problem. Advice: Add it to Smart Life App somewhere near the router or where you have strong wireless coverage and then move it to desired location. It's working easy like this.

Only issue was fan turning off when room reaches the set temperature, which is now resolved:1. Press Mode and Fan together for few seconds until screen blinks2. Press Mode again to change bottom number on screen to ‘2’3. If the top number is showing ‘0’ or ‘00’ then press temperature toggle button to change this to ‘01’ or ‘1’.4. Press Power and problem solved

Although the thermostat is set to Mid Cooling, it acts like automatic. Very annoying

Excellent replacement for honeywell t6861 dummy thermostat, easy to install as it's a standard 2P model. A bit expensive but worth it.

way cheaper than nest. works great for typical uae chilled water system. easy install. stress testing for a few days before i buy many more units.
