Great design!
This water filtration system is really elegant. It is very easy to use. There's a top part where you pour tap water. The filter is coconut shells and there's a lovely glass bottle beaker that catches the filtered water. Two bottles are included in the package and both have stopper tops so you can put one in the fridge if you like cold water. The top is plastic and while I wanted a system that didn't have plastic, I realized that the water is in contact with the plastic only briefly AND it's non-BPA. I've been using this for a month now and I've noticed that water tastes great. I'm glad I bought this one.I'm adding to this review a few months later... This water filter system has held up beautifully. As I said in the beginning of this review, it looks elegant. The water from the original filter is still working well after thee months. I will change it soon but the water still tastes great. The glass beaker is not only elegant but it also is the perfect size to fill my water bottle and it fits perfectly in my hand so it pours easily.

What a difference!
For 35 years my wife and I lived in a house that had a well and we were used to water that tasted good. Then we moved to a house that was serviced by a municipal water company. Yuk! I researched water filters. Many required tapping into a water line, or attaching something to your kitchen faucet, or using a bulky pitcher filter. And they can be expensive. I just wanted to give one a try to see what kind of difference it would make. The KOR required no special installation, was easy to use, and was inexpensive. So I bought one. And it works great! We are very happy with the taste difference that it made in our tap water. It requires a little assembly, and after initial assembly I had a leak as was mentioned in other reviews, but I tightened everything again and the leak went away. I am very happy with this product. The product that I purchased as a trial (the KOR) is going to be my permanent solution.

Best tasting water
Thrilled! I had searched for a glass water filtration system that was easy and actually worked. After scrolling and looking at several, and yes there are quite a bit , I choose this one by KOR. I am so happy I did. Its classy and not bulky and it sits next to my sink for I use it for all my water uses. the decanters are glass and I’ve had no problem with them cracking or breaking and I use them at least every 2 hours of the day. I’ve had it now for over a year and will continue this as my source of better tasting water. We have good water where I live but once you have tasted the filtered water I will never buy water in plastic containers or drink tap. In my opinion it’s very much worth the price, look forward to keep drinking my weight in water. My toddler grandbabies love to watch the water and when it’s done they actually will drink water. It’s a win win!

Gorgeous design, cheaply executed.
Gorgeous design, cheaply executed. I was so excited to get this. I'd been looking for a filter pitcher that combined glass, aesthetics, quality, and functionality. This ain't it, and it's very sad because it could be perfect. The design is great, simple, easy to set up and clean, and looks great. However, other than the glass carafes, all other materials fall short in quality. The beautiful glass carafes come with plastic caps, which pretty much ruin the sight and, to many, render the idea of glass useless because people looking for glass do not want plastic caps. The caps already came scratched, which was kind of disappointing, but I was going to look for a replacement anyway. It turns out that the small wooden caps for weck jars fit almost perfectly, so I will be using those since my purpose for the caps is to protect the water from dust (not all of them fit tightly, but they all fit). The waterfall is made of plastic, which is halfway between super cheap and super awesome. It's sturdy-ish, though not what I was expecting. I was hoping for the strong, porous, matte plastic (not sure what it's called), which is what I would expect from a high-end system and which I thought this would be. It's not bad, I just expected much better. It does leak outside of its designated dripping hole, as so many have pointed out, but so far, all of the water falls into the carafe. I've ran it six times so far. The flavor is not great at all. I usually use Brita and it takes off the bad taste, but these filters don't remove all of the taste. While it doesn't taste as bad, I can still tell it's tap water. I hope the company starts selling better filters because these are too expensive to be so useless. I will see if i can use them with the contents of Brita filters. The filtering lock is working so far. It drips a tiny bit after I close it, but it's not a big deal.I gave it 4 stars because I like the design, it looks great in the countertop, much better than the usual filter pitchers, and I love the fact that I can fill a glass or a water bottle directly (although it drips around water bottles). The glass carafes are beautiful and seem sturdy, and I like that the system comes with 2, and that they are of a moderate capacity so they don't get heavy. The design of this system is great. I wish they had devoted the best resources to honor the design, and not make something almost mediocre to sell it at a lower price. I would have happily paid a higher price for the best quality. Finally, the price is fair because of how different it is from other systems, it's not an eyesore, like most, it comes with 2 carafes and a filter, and it's a novelty in that the filter is separated from the receiving container. But for the current materials, I wouldn't pay more.It came a bit dirty, I suppose this was previously returned by someone else. And it was shipped in its own box, not on an Amazon box, so someone walking by could have grabbed it if they'd pay attention to what it was.

If buying new….BEWARE!!
This item was suggested by my brothers family because they use theirs constantly! I saw their unit and loved how well it looked and worked! A no-brainer… or so I thought.I opened my new unit today and realized that in the last year or two, the company has replaced the clear plastic piece on the top of the unit with a cloudy, smoky, hazy, grungy-looking piece - it looks like it has a film on it that needs to be pulled off.I wrote to the company right away, asking if they had an old unit they could swap out. They did not. They did however agree that they’ve started replacing their older units with this new grungy looking top. As you can see in the pix below even though it was photographed in their basement, the older unit looks 1000 times nicer.I was really looking forward to using this product, but the filmy looking top is far to offputting to keep as-is in my kitchen. The unit as a whole is quite attractive, but the cheap looking hazy top, completely ruins that aesthetic. Timing is everything - back it goes
