It deserves better reviews!
It works well and is suuuper cute and funny when you use it correctly. Here are a few tips so that your girafe works well: You need a small screwdriver to loosen the screw to open the cover to put 3 AAA batteries. Leave the neck alone: don't twist don't turn don't bend so it will continue to move its head when talking. Girafe has to be close to the sound source to work best. Wait a few seconds between sentences, if you don't wait long enough it will only capture the end of you sentence. It turns off automatically off (sounding 2 beeps) after a short moment of inactivity so you have to push that button again to turn it on (it will sound 1 beep). Hope this help!

Disappointed in Amazon
It is extremely small and although it was listed for toddlers it states on box it is not suitable for children under 3. Very cheaply made and certainly looks that way also. I will be returning it as soon as possible. Very disappointed in this product

This works very well – picked up full sentences
Been seeing the talking cactus all over the Internet, but thought it was a little creepy. Plus, I didn’t like that it came loaded with songs that reviewers said were inappropriate. I just needed it to mimic my toddler grandson. And that’s pretty much all this does. Plus it’s cute. I was worried it wouldn’t work well but I was pleasantly surprised. As you can see by my video, it picks up words quite well. As I was speak-writing my review with it still on, it repeated a full sentence. I’m a fan.
