Eafengrow EF951 Folding Knife,D2 Blade and G10 Handle with Liner Lock Ball Bearing Pocket Knife EDC Tool for Outdoor Camping Survival(Jade)

I have five other Eafengrow knives, all of which I am impressed with. This knife, considering it's low price, is awesome! It is quite nice, really, and compares favorably to other knives in my collection that are three times the price. Specifically: the knife has an overall lack of tool marks, by which I mean that the scale edges are by no means shiny, but they are clean and attractive, as is the blade spine. The sides of the blade do display a grind pattern, but it is quite fine and consistent. The blade profile has a pronounced upwards curve, which I thought might negatively affect the ergonomics, but it turns out that it is quite useful for me. It should be clear in the images that the blade is fully flat ground, which I personally prefer. Finally, the blade is D2, and has been heat treated in a way that the edge retention is very, very good, and my specimen was unusually sharp out of the box. I have a few other Eafengrow D2 knives that I use specifically for cutting up cardboard boxes, and cardboard is thick, and filled with particles of grit that can take the sharp off an edge pronto. Nevertheless, I am astonished, I mean really astonished, at how many feet of cardboard that I can cut through before needing to resharpen! The blade deployment is fast and smooth. At the rear of the blade's cutting edge, is a large finger choil, which is a feature that is important enough to me that I look for it. The scales are a nice and grippy G10, and somewhat thicker than some, which makes a more secure grip for cutting, with only the slightest increased pocket bulge. The inner steel scales sport large voids on both sides to reduce weight, and I am surprised at how light it is, considering the large size. I bought this model specifically because I need a few folders that have 4 inch long blades, which can be a challenge to find. I should probably mention that this knife is tip-down carry. This might be of importance to some, as tip-up is the most common configuration at this time (2021.) I like tip-down carry for the inherent safety, and I *have* been cut with tip-up knives. However, I confess that I do not like the feel of the grip when the clip is at the blade-hinge end of the handle. For the knives that I keep handy in a kitchen drawer for utility purposes, such as this one, I remove the clips anyway. This is certainly one of the overall best Eafengrow knives that I have so far, and if you need or desire a *4 inch blade*, you will likely be very happy with this model!

I've been collecting, carrying knives for way more years than I like to think about. All my friends & neighbors knives stay scary sharp. Just like to sharpen, relaxing. Kinda like petting a dog. So I am very familiar with blade steels, heat treatments etc. This is about as perfect an every day carry knife can be. Fits deep into the pocket so barely shows. The D2 blade steel has a great heat treatment. The knife came sharp with perfect edge angles but after a slight touch up it's stupid sharp. I've used it many times in resturants as a steak knife. Tweek the tension on the blade pivot & it opens in a blink of the eye. It's the same screw that holds the pocket clip. It would loosen after being in my pocket constantly, so removed the screw & put a drop of red thread locker on the screw, set the tension for opening & now a year later is is still tight. It has a perfect detent to hold it closed. This is such a perfect knife I bought another one just in case. I am so used to having it would feel lost without it. I have no connection to the maker/seller, just want folks to know this is an awesome knife

What a fantastic knife that could easily be in the 50-60 dollar range! Great action, smooth, tight lock up, no blade play, well built, I’m impressed! You won’t find a better bang for your buck if you want something different and unique yet functional as heck!

This is a pretty knife. The handle and blade are both aesthetically pleasing. The shape of the blade is cool and could be intimidating, it's not a small blade. As far as functionalality goes, probably a show-er, not a worker. It flicks open nice and smooth but because of the shape of it, I've noticed my finger will touch the blade inadvertently when I open or close it. Also, I have it at 4 stars because the clip keeps on coming loose. I'll fidget with it, not even a lot, and have to tighten it again. I used loctite on it, seems to have worked.

Very sharp came with pretty sharp edge. Great size and comfortable in the hand easy to flip open only thing is started to rust but that's probably my fault not cleaning it properly.

I've been looking at their knives for awhile. They come up with or 'reinterpret' interesting designs and have intrigued me to try them. HOWEVER, almost all of their knives are unsafe for left hand (pocket) carry. The clips are in the wrong place and most do not have clips that can be switched. This one cannot be changed either, but is in a place that provides safe left hand carry, so I bought it! This is a really good knife, especially for the price. Lock up is as solid as any liner lock I've use at any price. For SHTF, I'd stick with my Tri-ad Lock. For EDC, this a great option! Knife handle is very comfortable and allows for several grip positions. I'll play with it a bit, but I'm guessing it will be great for casual carving at the fireside. The knife came shaving sharp, blade edge centered. The jade G10 looks nice. I would put fit and finish out of the box at about 95%. The G10 was cut in a way that left very vertical edges on the knife handle. Fine if it was a tactical blade, perhaps, but not ideal for an EDC. About 10 mins of 1500 grit wet sanding completely aligned the G10 to scale edges and rounded it just enough to feel like you'd been carrying it a couple years. Now it's one of the most comfortable knives I own. (Certainly several dozen) Sabre grip is awesome and looks great with the curved blade. I highly recommend one. My adult daughter tried to bond with mine. Solid, sharp, comfortable and a great color.

Very cool knife and a very cool price. I wish I could move the pocket clip to the other end of the knife though. Any suggestions on a screw/nut kit that would fit this knife and perhaps use the extra hole on the opposite side of the blade pivot?

The knife if gorgeous. The handle shape fits the hand in both standard and reverse grip with great comfort. This has become my most favorite knife ever, and I have owned a lot. Finish of the blade and handle is amazing. As stated in some of the reviews, some of the handle screws were loose right out of the box. My recommendation is to take each screw out using a T6 torx bit one at a time, apply a small dab of loctite 243 medium strength, and tighten back down. Also, use a T8 torx for the main pivot and apply a small amount of loctite as well. Oil pivot with a small amount of lightweight oil like that used for hair clippers. I know you shouldn't have to do this with a brand new knife, but trust me, the knife is worth the extra work. Super sharp out of the box and just stunning in design. Everyone I have shown it to has been in awe with its quality. Remember that owning a knife also requires proper maintenance so just look at this as preventative maintenance. You will be glad you did.
