Works well and can’t beat the value
I use lots of adapters for manual focus lenses. I’ve paid ten times this price for some of them such as Light Lens Lab. I can’t say this has the same kind of refinement and construction as a LLL adapter but this Fotasy works perfectly with my Canon FD 50mm lens for which I bought it. It’s so much fun using my 48 year old lens from my first camera on a modern digital camera!I tested it in my studio with ISO 12233 resolution targets and can say that the adapter is precise as targets have equally sharp corners. Any lens can be optically de-centered but because this lens is not, I can tell the adapter is precisely parallel from lens to body. The only mechanical part is the ring to use it wide open or stopped down to working aperture. I normally leave it in the stopped down mode and just use the aperture ring to open it wide for precise focusing. So I’m not using that ring much and can’t say how it would last with heavy use. All it’s doing is moving the pin to slide the lens aperture lever.

Super easy adaptation of vintage Canon lenses to your L mount
This made my favorite lens from the camera my parents had during my childhood (Canon fd 28mm 2.8) fit perfectly on my L mount Lumix s5. I love the oics I get out of it and this adapter is sturdy, didn’t break the bank and works great. It is manual only, which, for vintage lenses is no problem.Great choice to adapt your vintage lenses!

Good Adapter
Just like with my old Fotasy FD-M4/3, it's a little finicky with certain lenses. Sometime I think I have it on right but the aperture ring spins without actually stepping down. So sometimes I have to remount the lens. It's not that big of a deal since I'm not usually in a hurry changing lenses when using my old FD lenses. I typically use them for soft 'artistic' and 'cinematic' shots, not professional work where I look like an amateur changing lenses, so who cares. If I ever go to another lens mount, I'd buy this Fotasy dummy converter for the FD lenses again. Cheap and Works.

Works well for my Panasonic S1 L mount and old canon FD glass
The Panasonic S1 is a great video camera but their L-mount glass lenses are prohibitively expensive (be they panasonic branded or even sigma branded)... As an owner of EF and FD glass from Canon, I have used the Sigma MC-21 adapter for EF lenses (honestly overpriced as the autofocus is sloppy and I mostly use it in manual), and thought I'd try these cheap Fotasy canon FD adapters for L-mount, and lo-behold they work well, no complaints. It's all manual and mechanical in terms of aperture control and focusing, but I'm very happy about the results. I've tried the canon FD 50 1.4 and a very useful Vivitar FD 28-90 F2.8-3.5 zoom lens on the S1 with this Fotasy FD to L mount adapter, and the results are lovely. Now I can have a great variety of lenses to use for the S1 without going broke with Panasonic or Sigma's money grabbing lenses (I'm not even talking about Leica which are for the top 0.1% wealthy owners/occasional shooters only)... Yet I'm a pro and have created many award-winning works but Panasonic never learns from their past mistakes, they just want to continue charging exorbitant prices for their lenses and paying for their talentless bloggers to shill for their overpriced lenses... Now with these types of adapters, you need not empty your wallers no more... yay!

Poorly made does not engage aperture level on all FD lenses
The little pin on the inside of the adapter (FD to L mount version) does not properly engage the aperture lever on many of my FD lenses, you can see it slide past it, sometimes it works and then when you are adjusting aperture it will slip out. The net is you can’t control aperture reliably for FD lenses with this adapter. I’m looking for alternatives.
