A beautiful, handmade journal. it was packed and shipped with care, delivery arrived earlier than expected. I cleaned and conditioned the leather as soon as I got it, and dye did come off on the cloth I used, but Wow, after it was cleaned and conditioned, it really brought out the luxurious details. it's amazing to think this was done by hand. This journal IS refillable, as advertised, but it is interlaced with leather straps and you really must pay attention to how it's woven, in order to put it back together. I will definitely buy more of this same product. I'm all for quality, love of nature, and supporting cultures that embrace the same. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a handmade, detailed, quality, journal.

The notebook arrived in a timely manner and impressed me a great deal. I said in the title that it was exactly what I was looking for. Well, that's not exactly true. It exceeded my expectations. The leather is supple and easy to bend, the pages are perfectly blank and of excellent quality. I love the design of it. It feels like its something personal and not just a common thing. I really love notebooks. My sister calls my picky when it comes to them (and writing utensils), but I like quality. It is more than worth the price of it. Now, if only my pencils from that other place would only come in...

I purchased this book for my study of Wicca. I wanted something that I could write down my spells, rituals, and crystal information in. Arrived very quickly. Great quality. I was doing a cleansing ritual and had the book open next to my makeshift alter (a notebook with two tiny white candles on it, classy I know) and my curious kitten decided to knock over the little cup full of water I was using. It got all over the book and the page I had it opened to, but it dried out extremely quickly (before I even finished cleansing all my crystals) and the ink didn’t even smear. 10/10 would recommend!

The paper is great quality, the leather cover is gorgeous and the size is perfect to write on and not feel like you have to flip the page every two seconds to finish a thought. Ink dries quickly without soaking through the paper. My one complaint would be how inflexible the leather binding is. It is hard to keep open at first while writing in it. Otherwise great product! Would definitely buy another one!

Took a couple of weeks to arrive (during December). The leather cover is great quality. The binding string around the outside is made of a light fabric - I thought it might be leather, but it was not. It's still doing the job alright. There are some light brown/red stains on the inside of the leather around the edges from the coloring process - they kind of make the journal feel more authentic. The book is durable, the engraving is mostly very well done (only a couple of spots show that there was likely a stamping/pattern tool used to imprint the leather). The pages are good quality and don't feel frail within the cover. However, I have seen other leather notebooks like this where the paper has had a more fabric-like or papyrus texture. The pages in this notebook are closer to printer paper (although still higher quality). I'd still rate this somewhere between 4-5 stars. If you're into this sort of thing, it's probably worth the money. Personally, I really like it on my bookshelf.

The only thing wrong with this is that the person I gifted it to is afraid to use it because it is to beautiful!! The craftsmanship is beyond amazing. I will have to gift him another one so maybe he will use one of them LOL

So this is my 3rd leather journal. I've purchased my first two from another seller that sells these for about a dollar cheaper. I noticed some detail in this one that might be a little different. Turns out that this journal is constructed a whole lot better! The edges don't curl up like my others. The leather is a bit thicker and heavier and the embossing detail is complex (beautifully). I love the paper in this journal. I like to write with the Pilot Precise V5 roller ball pens and it glides perfectly across the pages. The paper is really thick where you can also sketch and draw. You can even write on the back sides of the pages without fear of ink or pencil transferring or bleeding through. I carry my journal around a lot especially when traveling so the leather tie comes in handy to keep it closed. I'm a heavy journaler (is this a word. Lol) who hope to leave treasures behind for my descendants so I plan to use these for as long as they are available for purchase.

What I received was not like the photos. The design is different (not a bad thing, it is still Yggdrasil), there is a thin string instead of the leather strap advertised, and the leather is damaged in places (possibly from shipment). The leather also has raw edges and you can clearly see where the dye bled over into the underside. On the plus side, the paper is of high quality and is sewn in well - it held up to being firmly tugged on and dangled by a few pages. The leather tooling is largely even and pleasing to the eye. I intend the book to be somewhat rough looking and worn so none of these are deal breakers, but I wish it had been more clearly advertised.

Very well made and stitched. Real leather, nice smell. Real feel of the embossed pattern.

A mi personalmente, es lo que estaba buscando. La portadas de piel son super cuidadas, y me encanta lo manejable que es. Es uno de los poquitos que hay en el mercado de este tamaño 25x18. Las calidades de las hojas, aunque si bien es cierto que no son 4cm de grosor pero el papel es PERFECTO!.. Cómo cuaderno de dibujo, diario, o para cualquier secreto que quieras guardar! jejeje.... es IDEAL! Para mi, va a ser mi libro de las sombras, y me he enamorado nada más verlo! además, el trato con el vendedor es muy bueno y te resuelve cualquier duda casi en el momento.

Ein sehr schönes Buch mit tollem Ledereinband mit dem Baum-Muster. Sieht wirklich toll aus und fühlt sich auch sehr wertig an. Für uns war es ein ideales Hochzeitsgeschenk mit dem wir noch etwas gestalten konnten.

When I got this journal I was surprised at how large it actually was. It looks amazing with the leather-look finish. I’m not sure it is real leather? I haven’t used it yet so I don’t know if the dye will come off as other reviewers commented. I want to use it, but at the same time it just looks great on my book shelf. The paper is on the yellowish side, so looks aged, which matches the theme of this journal. It has that ‘Indiana Jones’ quality look to it that would be amazing to fill with notes and sketches. The paper quality seems satisfactory, but is bound into the journal so the journal is not refillable. I am sure I’ll use it at some point but for now it is sitting on the shelf as a decoration.
