Really happy with day bed .. very sturdy easy to put together.. looks great in my spare room

Firstly, the bed & trundle came in 2 seperate deliveries in the same day but this isn't stated beforehand so can cause a bit of a panic but seller replied immediately and reassured me. The bed is lovely, it's very pretty and stylish. I have it in my front room where me and my daughter now sleep and it blends in nicely with the furniture. It was so easy and quick to assemble, my 12 year old son built it with a little bit of help from me. Brilliant value for money. This was purchased to go under my sons mid sleeper so it essentially became a bunk bed. I couldn't buy a single bed as it would have been too long to fit within the frame of the current bed. It came in a lot of pieces and did take two of us to put it together, it's not difficult but when fitting the slats you need help or octopus arms ! All of the slats need to be slotted into one side of the bed and then matched up to fit in the other. Tip: put them all in one side first then start with one end of the other side, slowly put each one in and lower it down a bit at a time until you've reached the other end, this is a two person job ideally. It was a little fiddly at times to line up the holes for the screws but with a bit of force they lined up and screws went in. Once built it was sturdy, and fit perfectly underneath of the bed resulting in a bunk bed set up. We've used a standard single UK mattress, whilst there is slight overhang it doesn't feel like it is and it hasn't moved once on. Overall this has done exactly what we needed it to do at a very good price, you couldn't make it for what it cost. If you need a slightly shorter bed base then this will suit your needs perfectly.

If I could give this no stars I would. I bought these with the day bed as its the same seller I knew it would fit the frame The day bed is good quality and easy to assemble untill you put the mattress on and you will literally fall through the end of the bed. These are the worst quality mattress I've ever had and not as pictured or described. There is nothing 'thick and supporting' about them. I've been trying to get a refund for over a month with still no joy. At less than 7cm thick I've had matress toppers thicker. Please save your money and buy a different mattress they are not fit for purpose.

Firstly, I have rated this bed 4 stars mainly due to good price (£130ish). I think I would have given it 2 or 3 stars otherwise. The good: - very sturdy bed - good value for money (if you can put up with the below) The bad: - Hard to assemble. I had issues with screws not aligning, and threads not cut right. I even had an issue with the slot-in section not aligning due to bad quality assurance… (see photos) I had to hammer the metal to bend it to fit, quite disappointing. Found that the heads of screws were stripping easily due to threads not being cut correctly. - Poor instructions. I consider myself to be quite handy, but the instructions were hard to understand at times. I had several situations where I had to take bits of the bed apart again as I had them wrong way around etc. The ugly: - There is definitely evidence that the metal was rusty before painting, there are some bubbled sections where I can see this flaking off in the future. I will revise my 4 star rating if this happens. - The pieces are well labelled with numbered stickers. Issue is, when I removed these after assembly, I found so many defects hidden below them - dents/scratches/chips. It was like finding a rotten bit under the sticker on your Apple!!! Clearly intentional to get it past their Quality Inspections - I was very disappointed by this. All in all, a good bed if you can put up with the above issues.

The screws, bolts and other accessories come in silver so stick out. Have brought other black furniture and they have come with black accessories so meld in. And has nothing to do with price as other furniture around same price frame. Can see where the back board joins so have had to put throw there to cover.
