I got this tea because I wanted to experience the sweet flavor-blocking effect of gymnema tea I have read about elsewhere. I thought it could possibly help break my sugar cravings. The tea is earthy and a slight bit bitter (though I have a stronger sense for bitterness than most people) but I didn’t mind it, as I didn’t try the tea for the flavor of it. I found when I brewed a strong cup it and swished it in my mouth it did lessen my ability to taste sweetness in some sweets I tried. Pretty cool! Peanut butter cups tasted like salty peanut butter, apricot preserves tasted like sugar-free tart fruit, table sugar tasted nearly bland. The effect faded in less than an hour, but even the next day my sense of sweetness was slightly altered/lessened. I think it was a worthwhile experiment and was happy the tea is organic.

Try this tea with a little mint...you will love it.

I have no issues with the quality of the tea, but I personally didn't like the taste so I ended up steeping it with other teas to mask the flavor. But, if you like this type of tea I'd say make the purchase!

Smells like water from a fish tank. I imagine it tastes pretty similar, as well.

I like the flavor just right, it gave a comfortable feeling of like green tea does for me. Similiar to most tea bags in thickness.
