Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover, Urine Destroyer, Power Sprayer w/ Batteries, 1.5 Gallon (P-5788)

I bought Nature's Miracle for a house where the basement had been used as a kitty litter tray for about 6 months. The smell was so awful that it was seeping up into the house and made it unbearable. The smell would hit you as soon as you opened the door.So I researched and bought this product. I also bought a little black light for $8 that prominently showed about 120 cat urine spots (someone else had cleaned up the feces). I spot sprayed each of the 120 spots twice. After that the spot application, about 80 percent of the smell was gone. Then I surface sprayed the entire basement (about 600 square feet). After 2 days, the smell in the basement was gone! Even my relatives couldn't believe it. I used the rest of the product to surface spray the main and top floors of the house. Now there's no smell. Fantastic!The 1.5 gallon goes a long way. You can spray an entire house with it. I used the hand sprayer for most of it, but when the batteries started to run out I poured the remaining product into a hand sprayer (basically a window cleaning spray bottle) and hand sprayed.

Cat urine is the bane of my existence. I've been using this product for years. It's not perfect, but nothing ever is. It's fantastic for new urine spots, if you're lucky enough to find them when they're still wet. The big benefit with this product, though, is its ability to take on older stains/smells. My cats got into a bad cycle of peeing on the carpet in my office; by the time I realized what was going on, huge sections of the carpet and the padding beneath were already saturated. Not only was I afraid of eventually losing my security deposit, but the smell was becoming quite noticeable. I am just now finishing a very long process of cleaning the carpet - while new stains can be cleaned and dried in a day or two, the extent of the damage in this case required weeks of soaking, sopping, and drying, with the carpets half pulled up and draped over furniture to allow air to circulate. I got a blacklight to help, but it wasn't very helpful. I actually have had better luck turning the carpet over, finding the stains on the underside, and soaking them that way (upside-down) with plenty of towels to catch the dirty liquid as it runs through. The odor is gone, the blacklight isn't picking up anything, and the stains are virtually gone from the underside (the color of the carpet made them almost impossible to see). Fairly confident my landlord will never know what happened.This product also helped save a new mattress from a different cat pee incident years earlier. It's a lot harder to use on a mattress, but patience - and plenty of this stuff - pays off. Don't be stingy with this stuff! Use more than you think you need. Apply and reapply as needed. And, just like the label says, don't expect it to smell good until it's totally dry. You might think it didn't work at all if you sniff while the area is still wet. Just wait - and keep the pets away until then, too.Finally, if I have a laundry incident, a splash of this and a splash of white vinegar in with my clothes makes them smell good as new.A note about the power sprayer: I know several people have complained about this not working after a while. Make sure you have fresh batteries - I just changed the original ones (after using about 2.5 gallons worth of this stuff) and the sprayer performance is so much better now. I have had some problems with the power spray, but these have been momentary glitches; usually, I can point it straight down and it will pump the cleaner out forcefully and rapidly right where I need it, without the arm-cramping that comes from a manual spray trigger, or the messy inaccurate splashing that comes with pouring it straight out of the bottle.

Seems to work well and the attached sprayer (I got the gallon and a half) makes it really convenient to use. I am only giving it 4 stars because I have also been using a variety of other products as well. We recently bought a home in which the previous owners had let their animals pee wherever. The one room had carpet that was soaked with urine, and we ripped that out immediately, only to find that the hardwood floors were also saturated with urine. After scrubbing with ammonia, I have alternated treatments of baking soda and vinegar on some days and treatments with this product on other days. Since the floors were so bad and we will be sanding and restaining them at some point, I have just left the product on the wood instead of wiping it back up. The stain on the floors has worn off, which is probably a combination of all the products. This product is great for a quick odor treatment, and it seems to be successful. If I was not treating such a damaged surface, I would probably have just used this on its own and not used others out of my desperation for results.

Our old golden/lab has incontinence issues. He stays in a nice, enclosed area with us - but we have had to do some things to make that possible. Without this product (we did try some others, too), he most likely would not still be with us. He has two comfy places in his area, a pad and a dog couch. We keep incontinence pads on them both, and change them every day. There is carpeting in the area, so we shampoo it frequently, spraying it first with some of this Nature's Miracle.When my last jug of this got low, I saw a lightning deal for this one with the battery-operated sprayer. I had previously thought we did not need the sprayer, but it makes it easier to spray his pads before washing them. I also think I use less of it, because it is easier to control the amount I use than with the small, plastic squirt bottle I had been using (similar to a lotion tube).I wash the pads first, with just this liquid sprayed on them where he has peed. Then I re-wash them with a bit of laundry soap and some bleach in the dispenser of the washing machine. Once done, the pads don't smell anything but CLEAN!

This is the very best product you can buy and use for your dog’s accidents. I have used it on your own, poop, and vomit. I’ve used it on rugs, carpets, hardwood floors, vinyl floors, and in my car on the carpet and on the seats. It is super super super fantastic because it completely remove the scent and usually works well for stains. I highly recommend it for anyone who has dogs.
