Classic Paul Simon: The Simon And Garfunkel Years (Paul Simon/Simon & Garfunkel)

S&Gは多種多様な楽譜集がでていますが、5枚のオリジナルアルバム中、2作目~5作目まで全曲収録しているのは、この本だけでは？中身は基本ピアノ譜で、その上にコードネームとギターのタブ譜が付属。アコギソロの名曲「Anji」は詳しいタブ譜がメインで、音符付きなのでピアノでも弾ける。素晴らしい！しかしなぜ1stアルバムの曲が丸々省かれているのか。ここだけ残念でした。楽譜としては、原曲でピアノを使ってない曲は右手に歌パート、左手で伴奏全部という感じのシンプルさです。ピアノ譜への編曲がむずかしいのか原曲の演奏の良さがでてないのもあり、玉石混交です。ただし、「明日に架ける橋」はピカイチ良いです。オリジナルアルバムの感動的なピアノ伴奏を再現しています。これ、30年以上前、友人にコピーさせてもらった記譜と全く同じで（このアレンジを大変気に入っていたので）、個人的にかなり嬉しかったです。海外からの発送でしたが、予定よりかなり早く届き、有り難かったです。

This is the most comprehensive collection of Simon and Garfunkel music out there. Don't waste your money on anything else. It includes melody and accompaniment parts for 45 songs spanning four albums, some guitar tabs (where useful) and the correct guitar chords (not the simplified ones found in other anthologies). It even includes the narration for 7 O'Clock News and the original album art. A must have for any performing Simon and Garfunkel fan. Kudos to Amsco! Grab it if you can find it.

I like the music. This book is ok but the production looks like a photocopy. Honestly, I think the publisher Music Sales America and Hal Leonard should be ashamed of the poor publication quality. They produce other fine quality books. The notes are legible but there is an overall unsharpness that you see often when something has been photocopied too many times! 3rd example is a different book by Hal Leonard that is crisper and just easier on the eyes for reading music.That said, i will enjoy playing the music...just its a bit irritating on the eyes. I think its overpriced considering the quality but it does have a lot the music I wanted.

I like it. It has Easy Songs and Not So Easy Songs, but I even enjoy just paging through and reading Paul Simon's lyrics. It's a great collection of early Simon and Garfunkel. As a guitar player, I found it easy to read most of the songs, but there were Key Signatures that I'd never seen, more aligned with piano (which is ok). But, as a beginner this seemed to fit that ground where some I can't play make we want to learn more so I can play them, because they seem just a step or two beyond where I am but worth the effort.
