Is the brim 2" as stated or 2.5" as shown on PJ website

Richard, the brim in the front of the PJ measures 2 and 7/16". The side brims measure 2 and 5/16". The rear brim measures 2 and 1/8". The crown measures 4" in front and 4 and 1/2 " at the top. Nice hat for the price but Henschel makes a better one in the same style and slightly darker khaki color. I have both and prefer the Henschel. Plus, the Henschel comes in brown and green as well and is just a sharper looking hat.I fit a size 59 or 7 and 3/8" for a hat and this one is a snug fit. It's a size large and stays on in a 20 to 30 mile wind. But both are nice hats and protect your face from the sun which gave me two scars from basil carcinoma. I now own over 35 safari hats and consider myself an expert on them. Ask me anytime and I hope this helps you. Steve Klein

Is this hat shipped in a box or crushed in an envelope? If it’s shipped in an envelope I will return it..

After reading a review that said they received their hat crushed into an envelope, I ordered this hat directly from the Panama Jack website.  It arrived quickly packaged carefully in an appropriate hat box in perfect condition.

Question 3

Is the crown crushable?  Looking for a mesh crown that holds its shape.

it is not intended to be crushed and recover its shape.  But it does hold up pretty well if you don't sit on it. It is my second one of these.  The mesh is reasonably sturdy.

Question 4

Is the brim 2" as stated or 2-1/2" as shown on the Panama Jack website?

My hat measures 2 3/8" on the outside of the hat.  For example, measure from the tag on the outside of the hat (see the picture) to the outside of the brim is 2 3/8 inch.  I hope this helps.
