Runs nice and cool!
Car was running hot due to stuck GM thermostat. It's a 2010 Camaro SS car with TFS GenX 255 heads, TSP VVT 3.2 cam, Full Kooks exhaust with ProCharger D1X, etc Made 760 rwhp on a Mainline dyno. Installed the colder rated Mishimoto thermostat and it runs nice and cool all the time now.

10 degrees, part failed in 5 months
Worked great for like a month, then I started getting temp codes… after 5 months of trying to solve the temp codes. I replaced it with an OEM, finding out it was also broken.

Pricey , but very quality part
A bit on the price side for a simple thermostat. But.. VERY well manufactured.This does fit an LS1 with the later model two piece thermostat housing. (same as an LS2) See pic.It is a snug fit with the rubber grommet so work it in slow, it will fit. Also , make sure to align theslot/tab of the thermostat to the housing. Also , the center of the thermostat is larger than the oneI removed , so much better flow. Car had a stock 86C stat in it and it ran anywhere from 198 to 205Now it runs in the high 170's to mid 180's. It appears that this thermostat opens exactly where itssupposed to .. around 169-170. Very Quality Piece.

Nice quality , not enough temp drop
I’m torn between 3 and 4 stars. Item is good quality, using on 2020 Silverado. It might open a tad early but while running 8IN lift and 37s, the 7degree drop is not a selling point. When idling, truck is at 211 and was at 213.In all, good quality but would not depend on this to deliver results as stated. Thanks for fast shipping

Wouldn’t open completely
I thought it was going to help my car since it’s a 160 degree. It was opening after a few days and car was overheating. Had to go back to the old one. Just wasted $40 on coolant since it basically drained it all having to install this, then going back to the stock again. And yes, I burped the system to remove any air.

Worth it for Florida temps
Worked well without needing to change out my radiator in my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Hybrid. On the weekends I tow a 21’ Aquasport Explorer (cuddly cabin) when we want to hangout in the water for fun and other weekends we go camping with our 23’ Coachmen Freedom Express travel trailer (6000lbs). Upgraded to Mishimoto thermostat to keep the truck running cooler. It works. Before I really couldn’t run above 60mph or the truck was reaching temps I wasn’t comfortable with. Now I can run 70mph on the interstate with no problem.
