Field Guide to the Tiger Beetles of India: Identification and BIology of the Cicindelidae (PB)

Breaking new ground
This is indeed a groundbreaking fieldguide for the Indian region and one that will open a lot of eyes. The only improvement that the book can make is higher quality images with pointers to key characters. The maps are also an area that could be improved, perhaps by making them large and allowing book owners to put in new records. The field is only being opened up and already the main author via the Facebook group InsectIndia has noted a number of new records from outside the known ranges (thanks to the rather limited sources of information via collections in Europe and North America). The cost could also easily be reduced and the reach increased with perhaps an adjunct website which also collates new records - perhaps in collaboration with iNaturalist.

Must have for coleopterists but...
Great book with nice images. A must have in the coleopterists library but very disappointed by India post service. They call it a "Speed post" but took 18 days to deliver what other courier services take only 3-4 days. Really disappointed by the India post and their behaviour was the worst I have seen from any postal service. Rest book is great but make sure to tell the publisher to ship via other than India post.
