The necklace closes with a french hook. This necklace is 25 inches in length and hangs just below the breastbone. Mix and match with other necklaces for a wild and free boho look, as shown in picture 1. This pendant was made by the nomadic Kuchi people in Afghanistan. The material is "gillet" metal, which is about three-fourths brass, mixed with copper, silver, iron, or all three. The surface is buffed with a thick silver plating that is very durable. The glass stones were set with beeswax originally, but some may have been replaced at some point over the years using jeweler's glue.
