I have been using these for years. The paper is the perfect weight. Grandsons are both inclined to be artistic and I always keep a pad handy. There are plenty of sheets in the pad. They work well with gel pens, paint pens, colored pencils, charcoal pencils and pastels. I’ve also used them to draw patterns for my stained glass work.

I know this is the most known brand and all but honestly i could not find much difference in the sketchbook paper from the dollar store and this one. Actually the sketchbook paper from $store comes tonned and has better texture. First picture is $3 sketchbook from Dollarama with 50 pages and 2nd pic is Strathmore 300 $16 50 pages! I would even say the Dollarstore paper feels thicker and takes more layers of oil pastels..
