Must have toy
My 3 kids started to play with Magna Tiles in preschool. I have 2 girls and a boy. They all loved the toy so much we got 2 packages for home. This was always the first and last toy they played with. They could use it alone or with all 3 of them together. The creativity was endless and they never tired of it. When we traveled and brought toys, we only brought the magna tiles and then a baggie of misc. little animals and random objects. They spent hours creating little worlds. I've bought this as a gift for my nieces. I think this toy is a little expensive, but it it well worth it because of the endless hours of fun my kids have had with it. They started to play with magna tiles at 2 yrs. old and my oldest is now 8, and she still enjoys it. Overall, one of the best toys we've had that gets continued use, is creative and highly engaging.

THE BEST toy for your kids from ages 0-9 and perhaps beyond
these tiles are the best toys i've ever seen - better than legos, megabloks, tinker toys, etc... it's one of those rare toys that kids of various ages can play at the same time; i've seen this toy being played by kids 0-9 years old, including an almost 1-year-old who can gather the squares, believe it or not. (remove the two small "circle" pieces for kids under 3.)the magnets magically work without being too strong, and the pieces are very durable. while this isn't the best value, this set is the only one which comes with a few odd pieces like the car, dome, etc... i'm getting one set for each child so everyone has a car. and instead of expanding the lego collection, i'd rather invest in these or get the 100-box set.these tiles keep the kids entertained for quite some time, and for a household for kids with varying ages, this is a must if you want the kids to distract themselves by playing. don't bother buying a bunch of subpar cheaper toys that you think your kids will need - invest in this one, and you won't regret it.

Fun & Educational!
You can't go wrong with magna-tiles! I avoided buying them for years because I thought they were pricey, but now I understand the hype. The building possibilities are endless! This is a very durable learning toy for boys and girls of all ages. I would recommend buying as many pieces as your budget allows. My 2 & 4 year old sons build until they are out of pieces. The magna-tiles brand is superior to the less expensive imitation magnet toys. These get played with daily & even the grown ups happily build with them too!

Excellent choice!
We had one of these sets of Magna Tiles already. My oldest son (now 6) received them as a gift when he was 4. He had great fun building with them. Then my 3 year old son discovered them. We bought a 2nd set so there would be enough to go around. I love watching them learning while they are having so much fun playing. The car/set of wheels in this set is a big hit with my boys. This is one of few toys both the 3 yo and 6 yo will play with and stay focused on for extended periods of time. Great choice!

Expensive, but worth the price
These things are incredibly durable and incredibly fun. My 4 year-old has a great time playing with these, and our adult guests also enjoy them. Our 2 year-old lines them up side-by-side but hasn't really figured out how to build things yet.I saw a bunch of these at the local Children's Museum recently. Those are used by hundreds of children on a regular basis, and they still looked fine. I have a feeling these last forever.Magna-Tiles are very expensive, but worth the price.WARNING - if you get a pack with pieces that could possibly be swallowed, PLEASE keep away from small children and infants. Magnets are very, very dangerous for infants.

A great gift for little kids or big kids!
I got this as a Christmas gift for my nephew who was almost 3 and a half at the time. I had asked his mom what was on his Christmas list and she mentioned that he had played with these at school and loved them. Six months later and he still loves them and has asked for another set for his upcoming birthday. Seeing as kids as old as 10 are still playing with them from the other reviews, I think these will something he will get a ton of use out of for many years, plus I feel good about getting them for him as they are both a fun and educational toy!

Endless possibilities for all ages
I bought this set to have at home when grandkids visit after experiencing the fun they had with my daughter's kids' 100 piece set while we were on vacation in far northern Minnesota with no TV allowed. The tiles are well made and even the smallest hands can create a building or castle that stands thanks to the magnetic aspect. However, there are limited shapes, so just bought the large set for my youngest granddaughter's birthday. While expensive, these will last, and you definitely want to retrieve all pieces that end up under a couch or other piece of furniture!!!

Imitation product
Theses are nice, but not genuine magna tiles. So they don't quite fit. Still, my son likes them
